Page 10 of 13 Jaclyn asks what the others are thinking about board of review. She says she doesn’t know what she would say and she can’t think of one thing that she is doing well. Kacie says really, I see you doing well. Jaclyn says in confessional that she is scared that she is going to be called up and that she won’t be able to say what she is doing well and that she will get a C and be asked to leave. Jennifer says she dogs herself and doesn’t give herself the credit she deserves. Jaclyn says she doesn’t know why she does it, but she doubts herself all the time even in coming to the house. The women all say they feel the same way and Cheryl says she doesn’t feel like she is enough.
Jaclyn says that image didn’t feed her as a child and now she is looking for substance and she feels like she isn’t finding anything. She says she has no confidence. Jen in the confessional says she identifies with Jaclyn. She says she see Jaclyn struggling with the infidelity and the rape and she feels her pain. Jaclyn says she feels if she got in a car accident today and her face was horribly burned she would feel like she had nothing.
Dr Stan and Rhonda come in an go off into groups. Dr Stan meets with the women and talk to the women about emotion aspects surrounding money. Money brings up issues because it is tied up in family origins and self esteem and how we perceive our partners. Rhonda says dealing with money is sensitive. Jen says she was the baby of the family and that her parents were financially sound when she was growing up so she was given a lot of things and it makes her feel good about herself. Lou says that money is paramount to everything. Above sex, it goes above everything. He says if they could wipe this one issue out it would make this process 100% easier.
