Page 7 of 13 Jen shares that this morning she realized that Lou throws childish tantrums in their marriage. Iyanla says it’s the resistance to doing the hard thing that makes it harder. When you are in a cooperative community you should never ask anyone to do what you wouldn’t do, and if there is something you aren’t willing to do then that is where your healing is. Iyanla is in the confessional saying that Lou and Jen are in the house because they don’t want to do the dirty work in their marriage and neither one wants to clean up there own mess. She says that spells resistance and in the SO House, resistance is a dirty word. She says she’s not sure they will move past the resistance.
Iyanla gives them an hour to finish the car. They all start to get to work and Iyanla asks them where the keys are, and they have been locked inside the car. She says I’ll be damned. That tells her that there is something locked up on the inside. They get a coat hanger and Michael goes in through the trunk which was open and popped the lock. Then they got to work finishing the car. When all the work was done the motor still wouldn’t start.
Everyone is in the kitchen for lunch. Jennifer asks Lou if he learned anything more about the assignment. Lou said that he shrugs things off and that leaves the burden to Jen. Troy says that he thinks Lou went through a lot of energy and that it would wear him(Troy) out. Lou says he can’t believe it got to that. Jennifer says that the exercise where she was made to blindfold and tie Lou up was important because she will never forget seeing him like that.
