Iyanla gathers the women and explains that Allison is having a farewell service at a funeral home. Jessica is given a choice of whether she wants to go or not because it’s such a tough time for her. Allison knows from Iyanla’s hints exactly what is coming so she gets in the car that arrives for her with a box of Kleenex. Iyanla meets her at the funeral home. Allison says she’s scared. She’s willing to do it though. Allison says she’s ready and off they go. The women, including Jessica are already seated. Iyanla announces that they’ve gathered on the eve of Allison’s birthday to complete a cycle of her life and welcomes her forward to say her goodbyes.
Iyanla presents a dress shirt and tie which represents to Allison her father and violence. Iyanla tells her to put it to rest. Allison approaches the coffin and cries a few tears. Next is a bottle of alcohol that she adds to the coffin. Now an apron to cut the strings to her mother. She adds that to the coffin as well. Allison speaks of how sorry she is for all her mother went through with her father and now her brother. She needs to move forward and hopes her mother will as well. Now, saying goodbye to cancer; looks like ashes, then padded bra. Next is a baby doll. Iyanla tells her it doesn’t mean she can’t have a child, she just won’t give birth to it. Put the dream to rest. Allison closes the coffin and says “so it ends”. Iyanla presents her with a gift. It’s her board with two steps. Gaining order and focus. Discovering love through self acceptance. TJ says it’s been a difficult journey, but the tears are beautiful. Jill thanks Allison for being so strong; she’s helped herself and Jill and millions of others. Iyanla thanks her for pushing her back and for her willingness to walk away from others’ crap and giving them the opportunity to clean it up themselves.
Lisa asks Allison how she feels now. It was hard she admits. Jill says she was fine before the funeral but now it’s depressing. Allison goes for another glass of wine. She says in confessional that she’s aware of her drinking problem; if that’s borderline alcoholism, that’s what it is. The women seem concerned for sure. Lisa goes on a rampage about someone. Jessica faces a difficult day; the anniversary. Christina can’t hold back; she ticks TJ off. Jill gives somebody what for!
