The ladies are seen preparing for the day.  Christina makes a phone call to Iyanla.  She tells her that her son is going to his father’s for two weeks.  She explains that it is court ordered and Iyanla tells her that it must be adhered too.  Christina acknowledges that but says she doesn’t trust her ex-husband or his wife with Jackson, so this visitation is torture.  Jackson hasn’t seen his dad in six months.  She is not at all comfortable with the visitation since her ex-husband rarely makes contact.  Iyanla suggests that they face it as an opportunity for Jackson and his dad to connect and have a glorious time.  She misses her son.

Jessica tells us that her sister and her family are coming to visit her today.  Their relationship has thus far been distant.  In the kitchen, she advises Lisa jokingly to be on her best behaviour.

Dr. Stan is working on cognitive restructuring with TJ; teach her how to think in a different way.  She will have a time limit and Allison will time her.  He instructs her how to complete TJ’s Crossword Puzzle.  Then 3 Jigsaw Puzzles.  Then origami.  TJ says in confessional that even though Dr. Stan says he’s not testing her, that’s what it feels like, so she’s overwhelmed.

Another phone call.  This time Jill is calling her friend Blu.  Jill reports to her friend that the doctors believe she has anemia.  She says she has a trait of sickle cell but it usually doesn’t affect her.  She’s hoping a pill or diet can treat it.  Worst case scenario is she’s bleeding internally, but she can’t think about that.

Rhonda leads group today.  Topic is vices and sacrifices.  In confessional, she says people usually think of sacrifice as a negative thing.  She wants to talk to the ladies about the ways sacrifice can empower them and set them free.  The ladies vices:  TJ picks her fingers obsessively because of anxiety.  Allison has a couple glasses of wine at night.  Jill smokes.  Jessica is not emotionally honest with people or herself.  She is not allowing herself that vice in the house.  She’s afraid of the visit today because it’s out of her comfort zone.  She doesn’t really know her sister.  Nor does her sister know who she is.  Christina is going to help her today.
