UPDATED: December 25th, 2007 Lord there is so much to update you all on, and I have so many new pictures to share, but I just haven't had a chance to get to them!! And next month is my 30TH BIRTHDAY, so there is only going to be MORE AND MORE TO SHARE! You WON'T be finding the upsdates here though. Sad to say that this website will be going away in a couple of weeks. Go to my MySpace page (www.myspace.com/sommerinthehouse) and you will be kept up to date there! It's just time to start focusing on my FUTURE and letting go of my PAST! Never forget! Never regret! Love you all!! Let's start with the news: EMILY AND DUSTY are ENGAGED! They met when Emily and I were 15!! How adorable!!! I love them both VERY MUCH, and Emily is my oldest friend that isn't family, so this is very special!!! AMBER AND EVAN are ENGAGED! Amber and Evan are newer friends to me, but their news is none the less exciting! Randi and Chris are still diligently planning their wedding, and with all this additional good news, I'm just BURSTING with happiness for my friends!! I love you all and CONGRATULATIONS!!! I LOVE getting e-mails from everyone, and I love getting pictures just as much! I'm afraid that some people are getting their feelings hurt that I am not writing back though, so I just wanted to take a second to add that while I do love getting the e-mails, I just cannot write back to most people. I read and actually keep every e-mail I receive though. I think that hearing from everyone is really what made getting through the whole experience so much easier. I am able to see into your lives, and see how much we have in common, and hear ways that I was able to touch that life, even if only for a few moments, and it is really just an amazing feeling. I think that leaving the way I did only served to make me stronger because now that I am home, and hearing from everyone, I see that I am strong enough to 'gain self' on my own- with all the support you all offer, that is! Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts with me!

Dusty and Emily have been together for years! I love them very much and have known them FOREVER!! Over half of my life, as Dusty pointed out to Emily when he proposed to her this weekend! We've all been friends since we were kids, and it's just so wonderful to still be around to see them take this next step in their life together!!! I'm just so happy for them both, and I CANNOT WAIT to be home in a few days so I can do all the girly stuff I'm going to miss by being so far away for most of the year!! Do I hear 'DESTINATION WEDDING?' How exciting! :) LOVE YOU BOTH AND CONGRATULTIONS!!!!! |
