I missed the show this past week. I only saw the first few minutes. I'll try to catch it on a rerun. I saw a clip about her resistance to sun screen. That's just plain crazy. Maybe she is too busy to have heard how dangerous skin cancer can be.
My brother's soon to be ex-wife has never seen to it that the kids wear sunscreen. In the summer they are either brown as Indians or burned red. It makes me so angry I can hardly stand it. Those children will suffer from these burns years down the road. I am always saying things like, what kind of sunscreen do you use? They don't know what to say. They rely on their parents for those kind of things. They have a backyard pool and stay in it in the summer. I know it's getting ready to start again. I'm helpless to stop it. My brother makes sure they keep in on with they are with him, but he works during the day when they are mainly in the pool.
Okay, I'll get off my soapbox. Not taking care of kids skin and allowing damage is a sore spot for me. Years ago we didn't know any better, but now days there is no excuse not to try to keep the kids protected.
Kate is really a control freak. If she only had 3 kids and husband can you imagine how unrelentless she would have been?
One of my ex-boyfriends was a control-picky freak like her. Everything had to be so so. Loading a dishwasher was an exact science. If you did it just a little bit off from his way, he would explode. Every decision must be made by him. It was exhausting. You can never satisfy people like that...no matter how hard you try. My heart goes out to Jon. I imagine a normal wife would seem so attractive to him. Talk about the pressure he is under. If he did ever think about leaving, the child support would be huge!
Hopefully, this show will bring feedback to her so that she can get some help with her issues. I have seen a lot criticism of Kate on other boards. But, as Dr. Phil says, you can't change what you don't acknowledge. I think Kate thinks she is just fine. Now, if Jon decided he has had enough and walks out, THAT would be a wild reality show.
