I agree that Rosie sometimes speaks before she thinks, but, so do Elisabeth and Joy. I don't think tossing Rosie out will help that show at all.
All you have to do is go back and look at the opening of the show before Rosie came and compare that opening to the ones now. When the women walk out and take their seats,
the audience goes crazy, they act as if they are at a rock concert. Even the guest hosts that come out for Hot Topics comment on what a warm welcome they get and how the room is filled with great energy. Before Rosie nobody said anything like that on that show. I liked the show before Rosie, but, it was boring compared to what they have now.
As far as Elisabeth leaving....what would she do? I know she has a college degree and she is handy on a deserted island, but, she has a great job. Especially for a mom with a toddler who wants to have another one soon.
Rosie and Elisabeth do many outside activities together with their kids. I think they really connect on that level. Of course, who stays or who goes is up to Barbara. I'm sure she'll make the right decision.

I think Elisabeth was designing shoes before she came to The View... if I remember correctly..
She just has to weight whether staying versus leaving is going to bring her more satisfaction.

Not to be argumentative, but I disagree about the "energy" Rosie has brought to the show. The audience has always been very welcoming, (I remember Meredith commenting on it frequently, and they even showed clips of the comics that come in prior to the show to "warm up the audience" . I think Rosie, in her showmanship style, stops, pauses, and encourages applause. Before she came to the show the rest of the group was more subdued and just walked to their places, sharing the "glory". Rosie is an attention hog.
Just my opinion.
I think Elisabeth could do a LOT better. She is much more intelligent and sophisticated than Rosie, (and Joy) and I also believe that Barbara recognizes this and wants to keep her there and happy. I'm so glad 'cuz the poor girl goes through so much every day.
I have also started to tune out and probably eventually will for good.

I like Elizabeth, but I would be very surprised if "she" chose not to renew her contract... I believe her claim to fame started with Survivor... and she was on Style for a short period. I think she is very lucky to have a spot on The View.

Oh gosh, I have been contemplating it and now I have my confirmation that I must stop watching this show!
My blood pressure just skyrocketed when Rosie basically accused our government of being responsible for 9/11. She said she will bring on "experts" from Yale and Harvard and other (uber liberal) universities to confirm that "buildings made of steel don't fall down from airplanes"...well, excuse me miss peanut brain but if the airplanes have BOMBS on board brought through luggage checked by terrorists, (or who knows, carried on at that point - remember we weren't very careful about screening then and we see all kinds of things going through security nowadays) then of course they could bring down a building.
Does this knucklehead not realize that Osama Bin Laden's family business is development/architechture of huge skyscrapers and that he, of all people, knows how to BRING THEM DOWN??
Strangely, I tried to send an email to Barbara, Elisabeth and Rosie and could not get through to any of them, due to "techincal errors".
Sure. I'm sure they're tired of hearing from people because of all the controversy they stir up but I am now absolutely determined not to grace my tv dial with The View another day.
Does anyone agree with me or am I, like Elisabeth, the only one left who believes we are fighting a war on terror?

I don't know about there being bombs on board those planes.. I guess that is possible but screening wasn't done then like it is now. But both those planes had just taken off and were huge planes...FULL of fuel. I'm sure the fireball created instability within the structure and once the top part of the building was weakened in the middle... it took the rest of it with it.. I think they were lucky they got out as many people as they did.. I would have thought any bombs going off would have gone off at the time of impact not a couple hours later..
They said that that attack had been in the works for about 5 years... Back during Clinton's watch... Bush had only been in office less than 9 months when 9/11 occurred.
She is beginning to use the show to push her own agenda.. She really has a very hateful demeanor if she gets into one of her spiels.. The panel should be able to discuss politics without vehemence.. We are where we are... Nobody likes war... and I hope we can get out of there as soon as possible. Hindsight is always 20/20...
