Starting Over Talk

They are filming a home makeover in my town of Raleigh, NC.
It's been a huge deal around town. Everybody is trying to get over to see the progress and maybe get on tv. I haven't gone yet but tomorrow they are filming the reveal!

They totally tore down the existing home on Saturday morning. The house is now finished!!! It is made out of stone and looks like it is 3 stories tall! I saw it on the local news. I am stunned. The house is a mansion.

The parents who live there are both handicapped and have some other issues.

Remember to check it out when it aires. I don't know when that will be yet.

Hi Debby, I live in Durham, and heard about the Extreme Makeover going on. Do you know more about the family's story, besides being handicapped? I'm sure that they must be very deserving or they wouldn't be doing it. Would love to feel inspired by their story!

Love, Love, Love this show!!!!!!!! After all the crap on the news and other places.........I love seeing the giving and strength shown!!

Debby......when they did one here near Colorado Springs, a friend and I took all the kiddos out to see......it was enough of a drive that we didn't go back for the reveal.....but it was cool to see!!

I had the opportunity to volunteer as a standby EMT, but I was sick.......I was sooooooooo bummed!!!!!

Donna, I didn't catch all they said about the homeowners, except that it was a deserving family. THe mother is a social worker and tries to help others despite having serious problems of her own. Her husband is blind.

That house is great! It is in an usual neighborhood. It's near the governor's mansion but it is also in an urban area. I trust it will fit into the neighborhood.

I just discovered that the Extreme Makeover Home Edition that was done in my town of Raleigh, NC, will be aired on January 21, 2007. I hope you get a chance to check it out. I plan to.
