No details about the concert on TV yet... I'm sure they'll publicize it but you may want google for info from time to time.

Last night Larry King had Steve Bridges... the George Bush impersonator on... he did some comic skits with Larry King... didn't get a chance to see it all, but he also imitidated Arnold Schwarznegger. Funny.

Barbara Streisand has a beautiful voice...that's where it ends for me. As a celebrity she has many opportunities for different platforms to voice her political views. If I am buying a ticket to listen to her sing...better not belt out her views...cause I don't want to hear it. Personally, as a person, I don't like her...and this has nothing to do with her political opinion. I don't like Madonna either...that's just me.

Good for you Mazzy. I'm so glad you and your husband enjoyed the show. That was definitely the chance of a lifetime.

Glad nothing bad happened at your show. Apparently a fan threw a drink or cup at Barbara at a show Monday night. That wasn't your show was it? My question is how they could get that close to her? I mean if someone is a big enough fan to be down in the first few rows, wouldn't they be inclined to not trash her that way? I'm sure Rosie will mention it on The View eventually.

I'm the type of person who has very varied taste in music. I like all kinds. I also rarely turn down free tickets to a concert. A few years ago I was given free tickets to a Toby Keith concert. It must have been before the Dixie Chicks incident because I didn't hear or see anything about them there.

I do remember fans carrying signs in opposition to Peter Jennings. I don't know what that was all about, but the signs said Deport Peter Jennings or something like that. Anyway I went to the concert and had a good time. I don't have to be on the same page politically with someone to enjoy their music. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't throw objects at them no matter what they might say.

One of the first things out of Rosie's mouth today was the fact that she can finally say that Barbara and Jim Brolin were staying in her Miami place.. She couldn't openly say anything before but they left this morning. She was soo excited.. Apparently Rosie is a huge Barbara Streisand fan!

She sent her employees there (or sounded like it).. out to get all kinds of flowers for the home.. I guess Barbra's originial arrangements fell through..or the place was still dealing with construction..in or nearby..

Yes, I watched The View today as well. Rosie is obsessed with Barbara Streisand...just like she is obsessed with Tom Cruise. Nuff said.

I believe the main reason Rosie is obsessed with Barbara is that Rosie's mother loved her and her music. Rosie's mother died of breast cancer when Rosie was about 11 or 12 years old. She had a distant and emotionally unavailable father, so she turned to music to fullfill her, especially music from Broadway. The memories of her mother are of them enjoying Barbara's songs. I can understand that. I think much of the attachment to Barbara is actually love for Rosie's mother.
