I agree that the show was not given enough promotion! What do you think would happen if it aired after "Dr. Phil"? It would end up in prime time! Everyone I have talked to about "Starting Over" has never heard of the show before. Everyone who has started watching it is immediately hooked. I would rate "Starting Over" one of the top 4 reality shows. I think "Survivor" would have had the same fate given a lousy daytime time slot and no promotions.

People can still be fans of the show and question Rhonda as a coach.

I wish it would air after Dr Phil. Instead of that hoochie Tyra gal. I also agree with a previous poster, that Dr Stan should have more oversight. A trained professional such as he should screen all applicants to make sure their issues aren't beyond the coaches' expertise. So we don't have any more Karen2 and Niambe debacles.

Yeah, my thoughts exactly. It used to frustrate me that the ONLY commercials I ever saw for SO were DURING the darn show!
Whenever I asked people (with conventional day jobs) if they'd heard of it, none had.

They(the so-called promoters) were "preaching to the choir" instead of getting out there and promoting the show to an otherwise unknown audience.

I agree, the time slot was not the most helpful but I was hooked from DAY 1 and went so out of my way to make sure and plan my schedule around the show. If I did that then there are many who would have tyvo'd it or taped it, had they any exposure to it.

They really dropped the ball not promoting this show. Look at Tony Danza - did ANYONE watch that show? Still, he manages to draw enough ratings to stay above board and let's just not even get into my feelings about Jerry Springer and that other fool who is married to Connie Chung!

Rhonda was not left high and fry...Rhonda admits on her blog that "HER Contract WAS NOT Renewed"...most shows are never announced as "Canceled", Rhonda knows this.

As for promotion....SO was promoted in my area.......as for time....SO was on at 3PM in Denver the entire first year...it just didn't catch on.....

The premise of the show was a good one. Did Rhonda's "idea" of coaching catch on? Nope! Coaching was simply a way for Rhonda to promote "herself" on TV. Without Iyanla, the producers knew that this show was not going to win an audience...end of story.

I too have been watching the SO show since day one, And the repeats, but all good things must come to an end , I don't think anyone from the show is hurting financially or emotional wise, look at what the life coaches are doing and see how much they are getting paid for their services, lets face it Everyone got something out of it, the 15 min of fame on TV, new jobs, careers, etc. and we wanted So desperately for that to happen for us, to get "fixed" I think so many of us lived vicariously through them..look into "my space.com" and check out the latest grads, they must have hundreds of "friends" why, it's our closest link to a TV personality, how sad is that, and like they care.. I'm glad it's over before it "jumped the shark" and it would have. So let it be, hopefully we all learned something or took something away from the show and have applied it to our lives and now know how to do better in it, we're the only ones who can fix us..yes we need tools ..some times, but we're not all that stupid that we can't figure out how to handle stuff on own..

Like I said, Yes I was a fan, but I'm not going to let this ruin my life, my Gawd, it's over.
