I heard that GM pulled their sponsorship of the show.

I think I heard that too. The radio news program I heard today said (I think if I heard it right) that it was a decision not tied in with the controversy.. and had been made earlier. Also I hear they or another company sent a letter to the show pleading with them to reconsider... But if this is getting ready to air... They've already done whatever it is they did... I just hope it was done tastefully and without the teams becoming especially hostile because of it..

My guess is that the producers created the new format for initial controversy. Survivor is not a Jerry Springer type format... nor are the guests/survivors.

Yep, I do find myself interestedly awaiting the new season to see if the hype is actually all that!!!

Oh yeah.................and because I'm a Reality Show junkie!!!

Ok Survivor fans... Tonight is the first night of the new season! Hope to see some chat tomorrow regarding how the separation of tribes by race works out.

Will it add more animosity or create better working teams?

My husband, my daughter, and I love watching Survivor... this is a regular family affair. LOL
