I was a little disappointed about the way they broke up the 10 finalists and.... Were the 3 finalists...actually the top 3?... It seemed someone did helter skelter divide by numbers (bleachers) and then call out the 2 guy groups.. out of the final pack... and then eliminated them.. That left the 3... The 2 young girls including Bianca and Celtic Spring.. (Which I thought was great too..)

The whole show took on more of a circus act...leading up to the announcement of the winner. I guess they were just trying to do something different..

Poor Bianca never even got to say a word the whole show... Although once she was announced the winner with about a minute and a half left of the show... She was speechless and the tears began to stream down her face... I thought surely her parents would come up and join her on the stage... But I never saw that..

Did anybody else think the final show was a little strange? Or could have been done better? I know it's the first season of the show... so maybe they'll be able to tweak it next time.

I didn't like the show at all!!! I kept switching the channel to make sure I didn't miss the winner. Everytime I switched to the show I thought uhhhh. What is this?

I was soooo happy Bianca won. She looked as if she had not been prepared to win. I thought she was tooo overwhelmed.

You want to hear something ironic. After Bianca's second performance, the judge's suggested she go back to her original stlye music. I must have thought of what song she should do for her last performance for hours. I hoped she would do I Am Changing, which is also from Dream Girls and that is exactly what she did. Actually it is the song that immediately follows And I Am Telling You on the Dream Girls soundtrack, which was the first song she performed.
I screamed out loud when she starting singing the song that I had thought was her best choice. I wonder if she will get an offer for a broadway show or record deal.

Funny you mention broadway... I was thinking that would be a good venue for her and the other young girl. (assuming she can sing as well!)..

I'm glad you came out and said what I was trying to diplomatically say... I didn't like the show format either!

A couple of my family members came in while I had it on...and they were like 'what in the world is this garbage'?

Had I known it would have been done like that... I would have keyed in on the last 10 minutes..

Funny, I didn't even start watching the show until someone mentioned Bianca Ryan..and I saw the video clip. I have only watched it for 3 weeks or so..

I thought the other magician was one of the finalists..

Does Bianca ever wear shoes? I think it cute..and surprised noone has mentioned it...

Debby, Did you understand how they sorted the final 10? Were they based on the votes? And the 3 finalists the top 3 vote getters?

I must've really lucked out - slept through everything but the top finalists. I'm glad everyone agreed with me about Bianca and the Millers. All That ain't bad, either.

I like Bianca's barefoot thing. Reminds me of Cyndi Lauper. (She still sings barefoot, too.)

Piers constantly objects to stuff that is heavy on the Americana. I don't mind that he doesn't get it. After all, he's not American. This isn'this culture. He just happens to speak the language. He doesn't have a clue how an American audience experiences its own icons. What I do mind is his obvious bigotry.

He treated Celtic Spring as if they were a bunch of provincial dopes.
I was thinking, "Dude - that attitiude is what got you and yours kicked out of every decent country on the planet...including this one." Heh. Yeah, yeah, it was wrong for the kid to mouth off like that. But I understand how he felt about it. ; )

Speaking of icons, I think I like Rappin' Granny better every time I see her. She's a surprise - more than a novelty. I don't like seeing young kids and listening to those rap messages. But...along comes Granny. She's all up in their world, telling them exactly what time it is. She's cool. She's gonna be around. She can say things to kids they won't take from their parents.

KPW, I didn't understand exactly what the breakdown was for the two different groups at the end. I don't think Regis explained it very well if at all. However from the groups last standing, I think they were the ones in the top. The ones in Bianca's group that is that were on the right of the screen. That means that Rappin Granny was not even close to beating Bianca which was a surprise. I thought she would get many votes.

I think that show was not produced well. It always seemed to have procedures that never let you know how they worked. I never understoond the semi-finals either. Everything was confusing. Like when did the judge's votes count and when didn't they count. There seemed to be no rhyme or reason behind it. Why were all those non-finalist on the final show? Maybe if I watched it more intently I would know, but, I just couldn't.

I know I will not have the patience to watch anything like that again. I'm not a big fan of most dancing, although I like to to it myself, or magicians or acrobatics, etc. I would probably watch a talent show of only vocalists and/or instrumentalists. I'm just wierd that way. Something must have screwed me up as a child because I never liked the circus, clowns, or juggling. None of that stuff appeals to me. I know it sounds crazy, but there's little chance I'm going to change that now.
