This is a great show. I missed this week’s show but I did watch last weeks for the first time. ..

Don’t laugh but I didn’t know his real name but I knew him as the guy with the long tongue that played the Demon in the band called KISS. JW my fiancé told me bit about him.

I think this show is pretty funny! He’s sometimes a little dry but it’s a dry kind of stupid funny LOL if that makes sense.

Could you imagine having a dad like him?

There's a few interesting things about Gene Simmons. This is one of those guys that you can't judge his intelligence by his stage appearances.

He was born in Isreal... Haifa to be exact.

He speaks several languages Hebrew, Hungarian, Spanish, Turkish, German, and English... and one more that I forget.

His first career choice as a child was to become a Rabbi... Something tells me he decided against it.

He earned a degree in Education... yep... he was a 6th grade teacher in Harlam. He became a teacher because he loved having an audience.


He discovered and help produce the first demo of Van Halen and cinderella.

He dated Cher and Diana Ross.

His demon look you can thank for his love of Comics.

Gene Simmons and his family, consisting of the mother of his children and their children were on The View this week. It may have been a rerun. It was pretty funny. His son is a riot. The kid has a future in comedy in my opinion, plus he's very attractive.

What a tongue on that man. HOW FASCINATING. That's all I'll say about that.

Gene was very outspoken when asked about the Israel/Lebanon situation. He was demanding strong military action from all major countries, US, France, Germany, etc. I didn't understand what he meant. Did he mean military action was needed to stop Israel or to help them. Barbara stopped him before he said too much more about the matter. Does anyone know what he meant? He also said he still has family that lives there.

I have not heard anything yet on his viewpoint on the current situation with Israel but he's very opinionated (but doesn't make an event for his PoV) about the conflicts throughtout history.

His parents seperated when he was still young while living in Israel. He came to the US with his mother a couple of years later. His mother was the sole survivor of the holucaust so I would assume that his father's family is still there. Haifa, which is his hometown, has been hit pretty hard.

He is not at all anti-war. He is totally for the Iraqi war.
He has some rather strong words on his website on April 9, 2003... He supports the United States presence in Iraq and strongly believes that more of the major countries should stand up against the injusices that is going on in Africa, Middle East etc. He's doesn't believe one ethnic group should dominate and cause trouble with another. He believes in Liberation and against terrorism. He's very outspoken about the lack of UN's effort to stop injustices from the beginning and the lack of seeing efforts through.

My guess is that he talking about stopping Hezbollah and for the Major Countries to stop talking and get things done from the beginning and not to stop just because the 'noise' dies down.

Wow, thanks TigerRose! you know a lot about this man. I take you where a KISS fan back in the day?

NOOOO I took one look at KISS.. I didn't know what to think. There was a lot of rumors about what KISS stood for (one was Knights In Satan's Service which is not true) and they were banned in the house. One day I heard that Simmons was a teacher and I thought he couldn't be... So instead of dismissing it ... I looked him up a couple of years ago. He's a very intellegent man but makes more money and adoration being a rock and roll star. As far a a fan today... no, I respect his intellegence but not his behavior.. he claims to never done drugs (good thing) but he's claimed to slept with 4,600 women.

I will admit I like a few songs of the group.. Like Beth and a couple more.
