Tonight on "Entertainment Tonight", it was mentioned that Gayle King (Oprah's best friend) is A Major contender for the new co-hosting position on "The View". I think that Gayle would be a good choice, she is smart and well rounded with a great sense of humor.

I can't imagine that after all the problems with Starr and her Diva ways....another Diva, such a Monique, would be a possible choice.

Wow I never even thought of Gayle King. I think she would be a great fit for the View.

Gayle King would be great...or Iyanla from SO, but Mo'Nique??? I will definitely stop watching if she is on there permanently!

Mo'nique ruined any opportunity she may have had to host The View. SHe doesn't know when to shut up and let someone else speak. The other women on the show often have that problem as well, but Mo'nique is far worse. She is just too full of herself.

Gayle King is a great choice, but, I still think that the show wants a young girl. Maybe they can hire Gayle and then get the young girl if Joy or Elisabeth leave... just guessing. I think that if Gayle really wants the job, Oprah would be willing to pull any strings she might have to make it happen. Oprah is too powerful to be denied. She'll get Gayle that job if Gayle wants it.

I have to disagree and agree with you. I like Monique but she not for the View. I thought she did well on the show and I never thought she was being mean. Barbara called her kids creatures now whats up with that. Monique is a diva but in a good way and she don't needs to be on that show. I thought Joy and Barbara was being rude to her and she was just sticking up for herself. I don't like the View so I don't give a damn who works there. I was just flipping through the channel and saw Monique and I watch it.

I heard there was a stink about Barbara calling Mo'Nique's children creatures, but, I saw the show too and don't recall her saying that. Maybe I missed it.

Other members have posted here that they thought Joy was the aggressor and not Mo'Nique. I just didn't see it that way.

There was a major scene yesterday on The View. I'm going to post it on The View thread as opposed to this one.

YOu should give The View another chance. It was HOT yesterday! Almost a cat fight!!
