I am happy to see that Tom was eliminated - 1st episode he was pretty bad especially when he was sweating in everyone's food.

I am hoping for Sara or Rachel to be eliminated.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hell’s Kitchen with 12 chefs selected from tens of thousands of applicants. The winner will receive their own restaurant at the new Red Rock resort in Las Vegas.

UGH!!! I know..........the sweating totally had me gagging!!!

Yeah, Gordon sure gets bleeped and bleeped and bleeped!!! lol And I wouldn't be caught in his kitchen..............it seems so odd how really nice and encouraging he is when he's not in the kitchen!!

It's a really interesting show to watch from the cooking perspective and what's really involved in running a restauraunt. So many people think that's their "dream" but don't realize it's horrible work unless you're already rich enough to hire enough employees!!!!

I'll be watching!!!!

I agree no way Tom could 'cut it'. I think Chef keeps them flustered mostly to see what they're made of. The winner gets to run their own restaurant, not just any restaurant, but a million dollar restaurant in a billion dollar hotel in Vegas (I believe in Vegas).

I get put off by Garrett and his male chauvenist comments.. of course, that may have no bearing on whether or not he's a good chef and could do the job but he really irritates me. I thought it was funny when he now sees it took a woman to get the men's group into shape and actually win!

Gordon Ramsay - World Class Chef

Does anyone watch this show ?

This season's a loser, so I only watch when Supernanny is having commercials and catch the end of the show for results. There is a lot of *bleeping* going on there-- and *fogging*..

I've only seen Hell's Kitchen a couple of times but I think it's to get one chef of 10 or 12 to work in an expensive hotel somewhere. There are the usual big prizes the winner gets. As for the show itself, well Gordon Ramsay does have a way of shocking the viewer. Either with his constant swearing at the contestants or his beliitling them or humiliating them. Come to think of it, I don't know why I watch it. I think I was shocked a few times so I continued to watch it but when you think about it he's kind of a bully. On the other hand, I've seen him do great kindnesses for and to people. Go figure.

You're so right Jhal.. I've seen him go to both extremes in his personality. I can see a point to him being strict on them and doing what he has to to get them to the point where they can run this megadollar restaurant but for me, he does cross the line with his belittling and name-calling. He's pretty over the top which is probably why he makes for 'good tv' as per what the producers nowadays are looking for. Or is it the mass majority of viewers that are the ones tuning in to anything controversial and shocking? It seems to be the way tv is going these days.. one reason why I think that Starting Over has been in trouble so many times, which is sad to me because there is a great majority out here that do support good programming. It doesn't always have to be the outrageous that gets the slot on the stations, or it shouldn't be.

Look at the ones chosen for Big Brother.. every one of them stood out in their groups as the loud or controversial ones and putting them all together for a season would make for what they consider "good tv". So the question is.. are we being sheep led by the powers that be in the tv world or do we really have a voice as to what we watch and they follow our lead and give us what we ask for? If they go by the ratings and that's what people are going for then I wonder what the world is coming to where everything gets more controversial and more and more lines get crossed than there ever used to be. More violence, more sex, more swearing than there ever used to be on prime time television. I found myself supervising channels more and more as my daughter got older because most of it used to be reserved for after 10 pm and it started a few years ago that the more outrageous the better and that seems to be what most new shows are geared toward these days. Extremes.. I wonder what the limit is...
