I agree that the biggest problem seems to be a lack of LC presence. My thought is to add a couple more LCs and/or pychologists to the cast and each only has 2 women assigned to them. More interaction with the hgs, more individual time with their LC to be really effective, more time for the other LCs to do what they need to in "real" life and the show doesn't lose continuity or integrity like when the women are abandoned or cut short!!

I have noticed in the last little while, that Iyanla does seem to be softening a bit.....maybe feedback from viewers made the producers tone her down? I like the no nonsense approach....however there is a way she can maintain that, but still be supportive and not scare the housemates. I know I would be scared sh____ss if I was being confronted by Iyanla. If it was Rhonda, I would feel less confronted and more like whatever it is, we will deal with it together!! But whatever needs to change, theLC's definitely need to be more present and take charge of the house...it has run amuck!!

Blasphemy!!!
QUOTE: Ilanya does say and do things that may appear rude, but I believe it is to draw out emotion and leave an impression on the women that is not so easily forgotten. If she were to just chat with them in a friendly manner and praise them to the sky and tell them everything's okay, I don't think they would learn as quickly or as deeply, if at all.
Can we all say "Rana!" LOL. She was useless.
QUOTE: Last season in group, Ilanya called Sommer "fatty." She did this not to insult her or hurt her, but the lesson at the time (in group) was self-talk and the things each woman said in their heads to themselves every day that was so destructive. I think she needs to make the houseguests feel the pain and the humiliation so they can get angry and make a change. It's hard to watch, I'm very sympathetic, but I can see down the path where she is leading them. I completely agree, you have great insight because you are looking deeper than the surface of "Mean thing said! Bad Iyanla!" to her true intentions and the ultimate result that is more than just hurting feelings with insensitive jabs, but asserting in the women growth and change by releasing their suppressed negative feelings and fears.
I *heart* Iyanla, she's my hero.

The show, especially Iyanla, seems to be taking a turn for the worst, and it seems like the life coaches want to humiliate and embarass the houseguests. Some very private issues have been brought out in a casual way eg. Lisa's sexual abuse, and then they proceed to have topics that night of sex and sexual experiences, how ignorant. These are life coaches, not therapists, and the last thing I would want to do is talk about my first sexual experiences, and sexual pleasure on the same day I am dealing with my abuse for the first time! Rhonda is a lot more sensitive and safe for the clients, but the show had better become more positive or I am out of there!!
Rhonda was the one talking about sex not Iyanla. Get your facts straight before you go on a rant. Just a thought.

Excuse me.....I was generally talking about the show...not just Iyanla.....and I did not say Iyanla was to blame for that topic. Perhaps you too should read before commenting as someone already made this comment about Rhonda being the one, and I replied to that. If you are on the forums to pick fights, do it elsewhere. I was stating my opinion, not fact....and my opinions are solely mine and therefore, always right. So get a life, and quit your childish behaviour!! Does anyone else agree? If you had an opinion and someone else tore you down how would you feel? If they felt that the show is great and nothing inapropriate was going on, fine, then write that....don't argue butterfly34!!

Chill out, butterfly34. It states:
Some very private issues have been brought out in a casual way eg. Lisa's sexual abuse, and then they proceed to have topics that night of sex and sexual experiences, how ignorant.
It does not state that Iyanla said it. It says that some issues have been brought out in a casual way.
If you all don't calm down this one will have to locked. I thought I would let you know because Randi44 does seem to be attacked.
