No, it is not. They are getting mean. And, there's a reason for that. The SO philosophy is based on new-aged cults, and other new-aged experiments from the '70's and '80's. And, sooner or later, they get very confrontational, hypocritical, and mean. I think that the SO counslers snuck this show under the radar, subtlely building up to this level of "help". They knew thier totol philosophy would scare the average viewer in the first two seasons. I just hope the more vulnerable housemates aren't completely made bonkers when they leave. Hope that helps you.
I think you hit the nail on the head. I have noticed the New Age theme throughout the second and third seasion (missed the first season) - especially during Iyanla's sessions. Then she tosses in a quote from the Bible, and I start questioning myself again.
One time really clinched it for me: Ok, everyone go stand out on your deck. Yell what you want to the Universe so it will be given to you. Everything you ever could need is already waiting for you out there.
How stupid can they get? Next they'll probably do past life regression on everyone. (Why is it that everyone who does that was a famous person?)
