Mandy, I don't think you are wrong. I can understand Jill needing to carry the baggage for a little while and not setting it down to quickly and say that she "gets it". This baggage exercise is definitely not the healthiest for Jill with the weight of it all and her own (I'm very overweight too, and it would throw my back out for good!!). But there definitely is some confusion about when they are supposed to learn to stand up for their own lives and say "enough" and when that is not respecting the process. Maybe there is a lot more therapy than we really do get to see where a lot of these issues/complaints/questions are explained to the ladies, but then that info really needs to get to the viewers also! If the goal of the show is to help so many women who cannot have this exact experience and professional help, then we need to understand the process and not be confused by it!

Something my fiancee said the other day about Jill's obsticle course exercsise, is interesting to consider.
I said, "How can they make her do this? She needs a different plan for the weight she's at."
He said, "She's stronger than you think. Because she carries that weight around, she has an all-around muscle mass because of it. Look how she flung that heavy bag over the obstacle."

I think the exercsise probably feels a lot more torturous than it is. She is already losing weight, I can see it. As long as she takes it slow, she'll get a good jump-start her weight loss.
It's basically weight lifting, the same thing I had to do when I lost my weight. The only way she will injure herself is if she tries to move around too fast with them.

I think Jill's baggage is a very good way to show the baggage that she has and carries around that you can't see. It visually shows the baggage she has. And using her muscles to haul all of that around doesn't seem to be injuring her. It is quite amusing to watch. I hope she loses her baggage soon, though.

The Jill and baggage exercise has grown stale for me now. Expectations are confusing. Did I hear her being told she can ask the ladies for help? Even she is confused about what it is that's expected of her, and what it is she still needs to get. She 'got it' earlier when she discarded the baggage. Got scolded for it. She 'got it' doing the obstacle course. Now what is the point? At this point I think this is something the show is using to inject some humour. Well Producers, you've dragged this one for far too long and it is no longer working. Shall we move on?

I agree with Jackee. The baggage was so over with days ago, but the show is dragging it out for ratings. A large woman carrying all that stuff, huffing and puffing, is not funny in any sense at all. The show, with their focus on Jill with the amusing music, is just cruel.
