I "met" Sommer today & she is a woman, just a woman with things she wants to sort out about herself...she wants to START OVER. But my goodness, to hear these women today chastise everything about her is just not right! Who made the HG's the WIZARD, someone who sits back and judges someones past behaviors or actions! They are ridiculing her about being w/a married man, but has anyone asked them about their past sexual indescretions? Is this supposed to be a test for Sommer?? to see who can outwit? outlast? survive? You mean to tell me that each of these women had probs w/Daddy so they in turn for the rest of their lives will have "male hate"?

The only person who has to answer for SOMMER's actions, is SOMMER and not to them, to GOD!

And if every woman had to sit in judge of other women, ladies there'd be alot that wouldn't be accepted...good thing real LIFE doesn't work that way, & if it does for you, you are in the wrong circle of friends!!

I loved sommer she has something the otehrs don't and that is she is straightforward she admitted what she did wrong she can't change it but wants to start over. I think they are being to hard on her. I know that if the guy had gotten divorced there were probably more issues then him cheating. Everyone especially towanda looked like sommer belonged in hell. How can they judge when their judging people is worse then anything sommer ever did.

This TV Show somehow makes it appear that the things certain women have done is so outrageous! My goodness! This is 2004 and there are alot of people in this country and many have done things others may never even think of!! I just get so teed-off when I think how much they do judge others...the only one that is left to is GOD! We're all human and we all make mistakes...that's why there is such a thing as FORGVENESS but Sommer doesn't have to ask them for it. That's so downright rude of the HG's or like Christine2 calls them: SOG's = Starting Over Girls. I'll fly out there & see if they are still picking on Sommer & tell them a few things I've done in my lifetime...they'll wish they had!!!

They have stated they think ALL men cheat! HELLO your husbands and children are watching this what does that say about them and what they believe in their hearts about the family they live in.

These ladies are in my opion almost worse then any one who may cheat!
They cheated their husbands out of the one thing marriage is suppose to be built on
LOVE AND TRUST
SO who are they to ever say they have NO RESPECT for Sommer, they have no respect for their own husbands!

I think they are using poor Sommer as a scape goat, for all the anger and hurt they felt about their parents affairs.
They said they were going to try not to judge....when? When it is about something that does not affect them personally?? That's easier! Hummmmmm ......I wonder if the ladies live in glass houses.
I think Sommer feels bad about her actions.Isn't that what the Starting Over House is all about?
It is real hard to come into the house alone.The others had time to bond and came in together.

Hi, I've just been lurking here, reading what everyone has to say. I just feel that I need to add that these women who feel that their mother's have been treated so poorly, need to remember that if everything was great at home, most men (or women) wouldn't cheat. There would be no reason for them to cheat. I strongly believe that in most cases when one or the other cheats, it's because things are not that terriffic at home. Thanks, I really just needed to add that in.
