I'm married to a psychology and he deals with males and females. I think that the viewers are more women than men and we're used to seeing the L.C. as women and dealing with women and the issues that they have. Why does the show think that they need a male L.C. I guess we will have to wait and see what happen.

my 2CENTS...I believe the Show does need someone with more...'education', more 'experience', just more equipped to handle the deeper issues. When the 'deep' issues are obvious to us viewers, you know there's a prob. Like Susan, dealing w/her issues, sorta', but not really. I bet she would have liked a more educated professional & she may have opened up. And Josie, she couldn't see 'the forest for the trees'. She definitely needed someone to get 'inside' to be able to open her mind to see things differently and think of what's best for CHLOE & her well-being.

The Life Coaches can hel someone get to the milk but another kind of professional can let her see why she SHOULD drink it!

But, keep in mind, a psychologist & psychiatrist are different doctors, different educaton. Mydogkat what is Katz supposed to be?

OK here is my two cents worth....
Having been thru something along the lines as josie. I can say for me I didn't want to deal a man for no mans money. i think Rana and rhonda did a great job. When it was beyond them they supplied the women with what is best. I like the show because it is women helping women not a man helping women.
I think that he should be in the background and not a regular use person on the show, I got into starting over because Rhonda was on was Montel williams show. I was really impressed.
I will watch what i can with an open mind.

This Dude, Katz, is supposed to be a &quot;Consulting Psychologist&quot; for The Show. Not a psychiatrist as I stated at the beginning. And to be a &quot;consulting...&quot; it sounds like they will go to him when things are 'too tough' for the LC's, ya' know. There ARE issues too deep for the LC's to deal with, don't you think? Like just using Katz for a reference type doc, ask him what he thinks.

He's going to be too busy w/MJ to be bothered with SO!

To everyone who has stated that the ladies in the house sometimes need at times a more educated, and better able specialist to handle deeper issues!!!

What I just do not agree with is!!!!!!!!!
Why in all of LA or even USA could the producers not find a female doctor?

I at no time, or hope I did not come across as not wanting, or thinking, these women do not need a qualified, certified, psychologist &amp; or psychiatrist!
I started watching this show because I thought the idea of an all-female show was so much better to help all women watching. To see how it truly feels to be living and growing with many of these daily problems.
