Wow, I had no clue Towanda was even pregnant! Can you all pass along the link to Kim's website..LOL...I want to see pics of the baby! ( I am new here, just kinda stumbled in here by accident but I am a huge SO fan ...I have it TIVO'ed so I am currently watching season 2...again, and 3 ) As far as Towanda's charges, I thought this was kinda cute. Hubby works the second shift, so he is home with me when I watch both the SO's. He always tries to act like he isn't into the show. (God forbid men actually get into chick shows right!) I will look over and see what he is doing and I catch him, glued to the TV, and he will look away real quick! when he sees that I see he is watching it! LOL! But...now I have proof he pays attention! Hubby happened to at the jail filling out booking paperwork for the guy he had just arrested, when he heard a woman crying. He looked over at her and recognized her right away..it was Towanda, bawling her eyes out, in a flippin holding cell. He looked at her book-in information sheet, and yes, it was her! I had no clue she lived in metro ATL. He called and told me she had been arrested and was sitting in our county jail as we were speaking. I would have bet money he was kidding me...trying to poke fun of SO (Towanda needs a 3rd chance he said!!LOL) like he always does (yeah, she really started over didn't she" says the hubby) Then the news came on and there she was...on the channel 4 news!, I about fell off my chair. I know I had to pick my bottom lip back up...I couldn't believe it. She cashes company checks that were just handed to her by another employee...ummm ok. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? WTH was she thinking?? And then to go cash them at a liquor store? Towanda wants us to believe she was called into that office (that stays locked 24/7, with only few having a key) when out of the blue, he hands Towanda some company checks. He (the employee, who BTW was fired for allowing Towanda to enter the office) wants us to believe he called Towanda into the office for a discussion, but had to leave for a minute. He claims she was then alone, so she helped herself to the checks. while she was alone. I am not going to judge her guilty, but I will say this...Towanda isn't stupid. Why would she cash checks that were just handed to her by a Joe Blow without questioning where they came from, andwhat she was being paid for, and so on. That and the fact that she cashed them at the liquor store, which is typically what shady people do because they know that liquor stores will cash any local payroll check. (at least around here they do) The judge will ask why she didn't deposit them in her bank if she believed she had done nothing wrong. I don't envy her at all. Down here, they prosecute white collar crimes such of these harshly. She had several counts of theft, forgery AND embezzlement, but I am not sure whether she is working out a plea deal...if she is, they might have dismissed some of them. At the same time, if she can't get a plea deal, they just might add some more on before she goes to court. Like I said, you don't want to get in trouble in this area, so I am curious to see what will happen. Georgia also has a "first time offenders law." This law simply means the judge is able to dismiss all charges if she stays clean (no arrests or vehicle infractions) for a period of time..usually 6 months to a year. So if she hasn't been arrested before, she just may walk with a clean slate.
