Hubby was arresting another convict at the time she was being printed....she was just sobbing in that holding cell...hubby said she looked like hell. She had 3 charges (theft, embezzelment, and forgery)on her when he was there, but I am sure the prosecutor in that county added more...they will nail her if they can!

Seems that her arrest occurred early summer or late spring of 05.... I am sure there was some conclusion to the charges by now. I know she was pregnant and maybe they delayed the trial until after she delivered.

My best guess, is that she plead no contest to avoid a trial and maybe she didn't have to serve jail time and was ordered to pay restitution... I don't know if the insurance company would have been allowed to drop the charges or not... But that is a possibility too. No doubt that if she wasn't found innocent/or not guilty by a jury...that a judge would most likely put her on probation. I don't remember how much the embezzlement was...

Now that I think about it.... I think the arrest may have happened as early as Feb. of last year... Because the old SO boards were still up and she'd only been out of the house a couple months or less. We were all flabbergasted... and the boards were ablaze... with chatter... I am surprised there hasn't been any update too. Except for news about the babies arrival.

I sure hope now that she has a baby, that she is getting her priorities straight or that it was all a big mixup...

If I remember right...it was last summer. I had written in another post that Georgia has a "first time offenders" law that she COULD qualify for if she has never been in trouble before, and BOTH the judge and prosecutor agree. It simply means if she has to stay out of trouble (even speeding tickets) for a period of 6 mos to 2 years, depending on what the judge decides. If she does all this, then the charge is whiped clean from her criminal record. I don't knwo though, the county she lives in has zero tolerance for crime..not to mention the Insurance compnay could push to have her punished big time! All I have to say is...IT SUCKS TO BE HER! New baby and acting like thaty...evenafter she learned all the "tools' to lead a healthy, happy life PLEASE! Woder what the life coaches had to saty about that ine? Will Rhonda show up to court to speak on her behalf and beg the court to have mercy? It's apparent counseling (intensive at that) won't do a thing for towana! Hw sad!


You know I saw Prince on SNL with that "Tamar", but I didn't think she looked anything like the Tamar that came to visit Towanda at the SO house...are you all sure that is her?
