I based my opinion of Rhonda as a great life coach on the manner in which she dealt with her clients. This included her eagerness to be there for the client, her positive feedback and blunt honesty. I saw her work with her clients as successful, for the most part. I don't think anyone has a perfect track record. I think she demonstrated an enormous amount of patience in some cases as well.

I also thought Rhonda had a positive outlook on life in general which I found amazing, in light of her family history. I didn't learn about the manner of her parent's death until I came to SOT.
I was very shocked. I believe to have come through that kind of trauma, and establish yourself in this world with such a healthy spirit, it quite a testament to her tenacity. Her recovery from alcohol is also quite a feat. I think she has much to offer clients, especially those with similiar backgrounds.

Lauren, I think I remember you not particularly admiring Rhonda as a life coach, please correct me if I am wromg. I think sometimes personalities must mesh for there to be a good fit in a life coach and client. Maybe Rhonda wouldn't be a good match for you. I think I would work well with Rhonda or Iyanla. They have different styles, but, I like both.

What qualities do you feel are the most important in a life coach?

I agree! A few weeks on SOH doesn't make anyone an instant LC. Especially when, IMO, Christie walked out of the SOH no less screwed up than the day she walked in.

Let's just face it...Christie is a mess and always has been. She learned a few catch phrases...LOL..never did learn how to spell. She has this surgery...thinking her life will be perfect afterwards...and guess what .. it isn't. And it's not gonna be either...I agree Lb .. Christie needs to get a job. A real job. Problem is...she is too lazy. And IMHO, that is the reason she took her brother in...to cover the rent. I honestly do believe this is true. I'm not a hater. But I am sick of the crap Starting Over tried to sell us, especially this last season. I was a huge fan of the show, but somehow it ended up disappointing...BIG TIME. If I want a life coach, I'll call one....I own a phonebook..but I assure you...I won't be calling Christie, nor Rhonda for that matter. Rhonda preaches positive body image baloney, and writes books on the subjects and gives seminars...yet, she is rock climbing with her boyfriend and what does she think...she thinks about the people on the ground and the fact that she thinks they are checking her butt out and she's so concerned about it...she even writes a blog and uses the word 'butt' numerous times to express her own paranoia to us. People don't waste your money on clowns like this...you want help, seek professionals...not wanna be 'stars'.
