I first saw Dr. Phil on the Oprah show as many did. I was impressed on how he worked with people. Granted, some of his shows are helpful and remember this is TV and ratings are what keep the show going. So he has to have some "other shows" airing to keep him on.
If his shows are something that would pertain to me then I watch. If I think how stupid can these people be, ie: Fridays show when the woman has "cart rage" and the other woman wondering if her man who has a "triple life" can be trusted, I'll have it on to listen but not to watch.
I think the Dr. Phil house will be interesting. From what I have gotten from the commericals is that there will be oposites in the house--like a thin person and a large person.
Who knows it may work. Or as the good Dr. says, "How's it workin for ya!"
The commecials suggested, to me, that families would be "living" in the DPH. I saw the first show this past Monday. His first "occupants" are, are, in my words, an "affair couple" with several kids. An "affair couple" is a couple who's relationship began as an affair. And, I call their marriage an "affair marriage." The next DPH episode will be next Monday. I like the concept. So many of his guests need his ongoing help.
