I know they are on a light schedule this summer. Many of the shows have been 'encore' ones..

Today I tuned in about 10 minutes past the beginning of the show and noticed that Ross the Intern was on the panel.. They were also talking about Lindsay Lohan and her current status..so I know it's a new show and not a repeat.

I'll watch the rest of it.. just to get an idea of how it goes.

He is likable enough... But I don't think he's a good fit for this particular show.. I hope he finds his niche though.. Maybe Leno should give him more airtime!

THey were on break for a couple of weeks, but are back live this week. I've been taping. I think they had some new ones last week too because they were on the day the president gave the press conference. They went straight to the show and the other guy who is in the running was guest hosting. I didn't see much because they got partially preempted by the news break. I can't remember the guy's name but he does special appearances on the show. He is gay and a comedian. Joan Rivers was also on that day and he sat in her lap.
He was quite tuned down from what he is normally like. I think he really wants the job and was on his best behavior.

I look forward to seeing Ross on the show. I adore Ross. If he takes the show he may have to leave the Leno show, but maybe not. He is on Leno only about once per week. He would have to commute from NY to CA at least once per week.

I still don't think I like the idea of a guy on The View. I don't know why. Perhaps I'm sexist. LOL.

I really think that Sherry who has been on there tons of times and Whoopie are the best 2 and I think they should pick both of them. Sherry to fill Star's seat and Whoopie to fill Rosie's.

No clue how well the other guy did... But as much as I like Ross, I don't think he is ready for this type of job..

I think he was too giddy with excitement and nervous.. He had some nice moments but too many silly ones.

I can see that. Ross is normally very giddy and excited over nothing...that's just him. That's why I can't see him on that kind of a show.

Sherry cohosted today... I'm really enjoying her when I see her. She seems like she feels very comfortable and is able to be spontaneous, funny and serious whatever the topic calls for.. The other women seem to really enjoy her too. There seems to be a good rapport!

I do hope that she is a regular come fall!

I agree KPW. I like Sherry a lot. I think they will select her and Whoopie. I heard they are the top runners through the grapevine.

I actually watched Ross and thought he did an okay job. As far as I know, he has never hosted any kind of show before, he's just famous for doing the little mini comedy interviews on Leno and of course Celebrity Weight Club. I was quite impressed. I think he tried really hard.

It's unfortunate and even unfair to say this, but, he did seem to be funnier when he was heavier. Maybe it's that he looked more jolly when he was heavy or maybe he just hasn't gotten comfortable in his thin body yet. This thin thing is just so different. I'll have to get used to it. He is really a very attractive man IMO.
I think he looks completely different now.
