I saw another episode last night. Hubby and her brother are trying to install organizational devices in the garage to store the family's large assortment of gear. She was pretty much on his butt about it, but, not as bad as I expected. You could tell she told him what to do and when to do it and it had to be her way.

She knows her husband is miserable in that house. At one point, the kids kicked a ball towards the street. Hubby went out to retrieve it. As he walked toward the street, she made a least 2 comments about him taking it as a chance to escape. I don't think she meant escape working on the garage, but, from the house in general. She made a couple of comments about him taking off and I think it was real.

Their unhappiness was apparent in their first documentary. I thought it was real then too. If you'll remember they took the entire family to the pumpkin patch for photos. The kids were very tired and ill and mom was very opinionated in how she wanted things to go. THe kids did not want to cooperate and Hubby was distant and fed up with the entire thing. Mom made everybody endure and finally got the perfect photo she wanted.

It was the first show about families with multiple births that made me say, Wow, what a miserable life. Of course, the kids seem to be quite happy and well adjusted. I do feel for the twins. I think they get looked over a lot. It was great last night, the couple got to take a short trip with the twins to California. That was quite a trip for them. THey actually had friends who cared for the other kids while they went on this trip.

Other people notice their anger as well. Last night, her sister in law, said that of course the couple uses sharp lanuage towards each other, but then, they just move on as if nothing happened. I think she was trying to convince the viewers that things are alright.

I do see this as different from the Roloffs. I think they have some major issues with each other, and IMO, it's Amy who is the one off base, but, even their problems don't rise to the level of Jon and Kate.

I saw the Calif. trip last night... Kate is pretty bossy... and poor Jon seems that he has to jump through hoops to please her..

Kate is definitely melodramatic. She was laughing because one of the twins were acting very melodramatic..and her husband pointed out that the daughter was just like she was.. But she denied it and seemed genuinely offended. But I think he was right. I've noticed it about a couple of the kids that they are extremely picky and particular.. Of course with 8 kids their personalities will run the spectrum...but they will definitely be picking up tendencies from their folks..


She does seem like she is great with the kids.. and I think he is good with the kids too.. I think there is just normal stress of having that many kids..on top of the stress just trying to live with someone with certain personality quirks!

I think the one woman was the same one who took some of them when they went out to a dinner on another episode. I thought they called her their aunt.. Maybe Kate's sister..??? or just a close friend with an honorary title of 'aunt'..

Did you see the show in which she got the tummy lift? They showed photos of the wife when they first got married. She was a knock out. I mean a very attractive lady. I know that many kids is a big load, but, it appeared as if she tried to look less attractive. Is that possible? Do some wive's look less attractive on purpose in hopes that their husband will not want as much sex? Just curious...what else could it be? It hasn't been that long ago that she was so gorgeous. She doesn't look anything like she did when they got married. I wonder if her attitude is the same?

She is one of those people who looks great as a blonde, not so good as a burnette. She also looks great with shoulder length hair, not, short short hair. But that's the route she took. Also, you would think that after the tummy tuck, she would be showing off that figure, but, she dresses like my mom. I'm really not trying to diss the lady, but, it makes you wonder.

I guess I'm out of the loop regarding her kind of situation.

OMG. Did anyone see the show last night. It came on The Learning Channel right after Little People, Big World.

That mother is OUT OF CONTROL. THe number of times she yelled at her husband in public like he was a dog. I think most people would be upset to hear a pet owner yelling to their dog the way she did her husband in a store!

What is even worse is that she doesn't see anything wrong with it.
She must come from a family where yelling, bossing, and speaking disrespectfully to each other is okay. It's so bad that now I think it is incumbent upon the husband to step up and put a stop to it. It is harmful IMO to the children to see that kind of disrepect from the mother to the father.

Talk about a control freak!

I hope this show is a form of therapy for her!

I saw the show last night... and was appalled when she told Jon to wake up and watch the kids.. (One of the children was a few steps behind him)...

Debby is you think that was bad...you've got to see the episode where they try to hire household help.. I swear she was going behind them and moving things out of the way and moving furniture looking behind things..I would have been happy to have some semblance of order and not a sterile environment.

I did notice when she was in the kitchen that she was talking to the kids that way too. She blamed it on being afraid she was going to fall and be out of commission..

I'm afraid she's probably going to try to micromanage each of the kids as they get older.

I thought it was ridiculous that she would manipulate the girls gift getting so that they each got gave the other the same toy. She said that's what they had always done. Maybe fearful that they'd be jealous of the other's toy... Just seemed really silly for a pair of 6 year olds.. They really should have been given free reign (for the most part) to pick out their sister's birthday gift.

Maybe Kate is so outrageous and why they chose to start airing the show on TLC in addition to Discovery Health. It is oddly entertaining! If she'd just relax a bit.. and not be so domineering and control freakish...she'd be an awesome mom and dare I say, wonderful to be around as a mate!

Anybody see this weeks? I guess compared to the other shows it was rather non controversial with regards to how they treat each other..

It was an episode that Kate orchestrated a surprise birthday party for Jon.. She also sprang a surprise trip to Florida on him and they were leaving the next morning.

I can certainly appreciate all the logistical planning that this trip required that Kate managed to pull off. But it is still clear she is a control freak!

It was rather ridiculous when they got to Florida and she refused to wear sunscreen because she didn't like how it made her feel. Well she wound up with sun poisoning.. They seemed to imply that she has done that several times before! At least gotten burned really bad because of refusing to use the sunblock.. I sure hope she insists that those babies use it!

The friends who took the kids deserve supreme Kudos!

I think some relatives took the twins and another friend took the 6 toddlers for 5 WHOLE days!
