I don't normally watch this show but happened to see a commercial. It was probably more like a show reviewing the debuts this past week. They were talking about Mario Lopez and another dancer who appeared to be bald with wierd eyebrows. I didn't recognize him. But then they showed a clip from when he was a tyke! It was Joey Lawrence.. Strange to see him with his head shaved and his eyebrows rather strange.. Maybe it's for a role in a movie.. I was just rather flabbergasted.. Maybe he is trying to lose his teenage idol status! He looks about 10 years older...

Did anyone see the new season opening show last night? I watched some of it, but, I must limit myself in the future. I fear I am becoming like one of those jokes about "old people," and I'm not old, I don't think, I'm in my mid 40's. Anyway, I got pretty carried away watching the dancers last night to the point that I thought I could outdance them. So, I put on my own music and began to cut the rug.(a southern phrase meaing to dance like crazy). I really enjoyed myself although I was quite winded and was quite proud that I got in some unplanned exercise.

The problem is that when I got up this moring, I discovered that I must have pulled something on my right knee and strained the top of my right foot. LOL. Unbelieveable. I chose to believe it was improper shoes that caused the problem and not my out of shape self. The problem is that when people at work ask why I'm limping, what do I say? I went ahead and told them. It was good for a laugh.

Hahah you should have seen ME last night. I NEVER watch reality shows and I've never watched "Dancing...Stars", (Heck, I'm the only person I know that doesn't follow "American Idol&quot but my husband is out of town on business so I decided to watch it last night and I had a blast! I used up all of my 11 votes - YES, I actually CALLED IN AND VOTED! "If my friends could see me now.."
they'd never believe it.

Although I didn't get up and dance myself, I thought the same thing about myself, (also in my mid-40's) that I MUST be getting old to be so entertained by this show but I really was and I can't wait to see who gets bumped off next week!

I'm impressed you actually voted. I may have been better off physically to have done that instead of hopping around my living room. LOL. The foot injury is much better today, although the knee is still pretty sore.

What is even more funny is that last weekend I caught myself watching about an hour of PBS's special tribute to Lawrence Welk!
They had all the original performers today talking about their expereinces on that show for so many years. That show was a staple in my household growing up, so I knew all of them. Oh well, I guess I have become my parents. LOL.

Debby.........you crack me up!!!! I love that show.......so do my kids!! Although I can't get up and dance.........I already need a knee-replacement surgery AND a meniscus tear surgery on my right knee.............and I'm only just 40!!! Ah well...........I still like to picture me dancing like that (although I always seem to look so thin and NOT heavy like I really am!!! ).

I haven't started voting yet.........I'm undetermined still!!!
