so yea im new to this site, and im a biiiggg fan of bad girls club.like its awesome, but when i read reviews/ topics or what yall think about the show like all i read is like negative things.like from what ive seen on the bad girls club website,these girls have been through so much stuff and like yall give them no credit what so ever,and omg like i read one topic and like yall tried to like dog ty out.which is impossible because shes awesome, but like yall try to find bad things and yall dont know like crap about any of those wonderful women.idk.I thought this was a postive site.not lets all be mean and negative and down the cast members.

The show compared to Starting Over stinks...

Many of us are alot older than the women portrayed..so their behavior is bizarre to the majority of us...

If you'd seen Ty's blog at her myspace site.. then you would understand some of the negativity. She didn't like hearing what was said.. and was pretty disrespectful of this site..

She created a myspace page for the badgirlsclub...and Oxygen has a forum just for fans of the show.

What members here have to say about the show should be respected as well.

This isn't a Bad Girls fan club forum... so don't take the criticism personally. Nothing against the girls themselves.. mostly though the criticism should be directed at the producers who are exploiting those girls..and not really helping them.

The negative reviews I've read on here has been towards how the girls are portrayed.... not at the girls themselves. Just like Starting Over.. the girls have problems and that in no way reflects thier worth... but when producers concentrate on their bad behavior and the drama it causes does not help highlight how they overcome their problems. I haven't seen any negative comments being directed to the girls but at the show's format (there is a difference).

Most of us here really do prefer to see the girls overcome the past and mature and become proud of who they are... Sorta hard when the producers don't want to show that side... all for the name of ratings. A lot of us watched Starting Over to help ourselves improve and grow by watching and sharing with the women.


Personally I don't want to watch a show that seems to put worth on the drama and the fighting over the triumphs. I'd rather root for personal growth than a tantrum. If I want drama.. all I need to do is turn on a show where people are paid to act out a drama or turn on Jerry Springer and see people who's problems are exploited and bad behavior glorified or closer yet.. look out the window, plenty of it on the streets in some areas... ... No thank you.

THis is my first post about Bad Girls Club because I just got my first chance to see the show. I actually watched about 4 episodes back to back. I must say that I was surprised that it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be, (pardon the pun).

I can't remember all the names of the ladies yet, but, I kinda liked it. No, it is nothing like SO, but, I think it has it's place. I do think the show would be so much more interesting if there were counseling intervention. THat would give the show meaning.

From what I can see it's pretty much an older version of the Real World. This entails throwing people together with alcohol, partying, sex, fighting and hoping all hell breaks loose for the benefit of the ratings. This is pretty obvious but I suspect that BM has been disappointed that with only a few exceptions, the ladies have demonstrated rather good behavior.
Some of the hg really do have a pretty good head on their shoulders and with some good therapy, could really work on some issues they are dealing with.

Except for the one girl who went crazy while drunk and attacked the other one, I didn't see that much discord amongst the hg....just petty stuff. The girl who went off like that really needed some professional help. Perhaps help in a facility, IMO.

I do intend to watch again. I don't anticipate I will have as much to say about these ladies as I did those on SO. One thing I noticed the shows had in common was the producers sent a POOL BOY, to clean the pool and amuse the ladies. I forgot what SO ladies did with their pool guy, but, the Bad Girls, ended up bumping and grinding with theirs on the dance floor! LOL.

I tend to see the new show the way you do Debby. Maybe it's about expectations. Anything that replaced SO was bound to be scrutinized especially on a site where people loved SO and were devastated when it was cancelled. If the expectation was that the new show would be another SO, or would "deserve" SO's programming spot, or would use similar techniques and coaches, then there is bound to be disappointment. The new show is pretty outlandish at times, it's true. Of course, even SO had some pretty questionable "exercises" and outrageous scenes now and then, and it often looked like there was off-camera activity to egg people on once the cameras started rolling again. But all in all, SO was about life changes, goals and specific steps to reach them, which made the show valuable from a learning and caring standpoint. Obviously Bad Girls is not that kind of show. But if it's just viewed as another take on a "Real World" type of show, then it is what it is and it isn't as much of a disappointment - except for the fact that it replaced SO.

It's not even close. I do think it is ironic that it seems the format of the show was set up by BM to be a more outlandish, high drama program than that of SO, however, IMO, it really doesn't capture as much real drama as SO did. LOL. I think it's kinda funny. Maybe their gamble didn't pay off very well.

SO was a much better show, from production to editing, casting, you name it. I really don't see Bad Girls Club around for a another season. I wonder if Bad Girls' rating are any better than SO. I don't think that most viewers who are the age of the women on the show, are very amused watching those women with that life style, without more behind it. If they could modify the format and add some real substance, I think it could make a difference.

Still, the show is not as bad as I expected it to be after seeing that drunken brawl scene on the previews. That was something else. But, from the episodes I have seen so far, that kind of thing is not the norm in the house.
