I still haven't watched it, the reviews sure don't make me feel like even trying!

Well I finally watched it and I have to say it was even worse than I expected. It is not just bad tv, it is sad and disturbing and I can't even think of the right words to use. I am so sad after watching it. To think that Oxygen would air this is mind boggling. I wrote Oprah an email tonight telling her that I was disappointed in her personally as a co-founder of Oxygen that she would have any part in a show like this that literally damages women. There is absolutely no point in this show except to exploit some emotionally damaged women. I saw the show where the drunk Ripsi continually attacked some of the women and then had a rampage through the house. She was beyond drunk. You could tell the women she attacked were truly physically hurt with blood and cuts. There is absolutely no help being offered this woman that is a raging alcoholic and I think that she will be dead before she reaches the age of 30. The message boards are populated by these women that are just trash and the f word is used in almost every post. I wish you guys would try to see just one episode and see if you are not sick to the bone watching this show.
And I ask you Tara to see for yourself and I think that if you did see this show that you would immediately pull off all references to this horrible show off your front page of this message board. I would think that you would not want anyone to think that you support this kind of atrocity in any way. Can you guys tell how truly disturbed I am after actually seeing this show???? It is beyond belief. I was shocked. It is not even worth joking about.

Reality Shack had a detailed recap of the first episode and I'll check today to see if one has been done of the episode you watched. Ever since I heard about the new show's concept... I expected the worst... I don't have Oxygen anymore since about early Sept.. and I sure hope Oxygen or at least BGC bites the dust quickly!

I have not seen one positive review.. (I started a thread just for reviews and links about the atrocity!) There are a couple of really comical reviews... The authors of these reviews are all on the same page..

I hope Oprah does withdraw her affiliation of the site. I think it may be only minimal affiliation (aside from name recognition).. but she should pull even that!

I hope Oxygen cancels the show... and makes it clear to B/M, not like NBC did..and hem and haw...and try to put it on B/M... and of course B/M wanted to put it on NBC (to cancel S/O).... b/M wanted to go this route... probably to satisfy B/M's J.Murry sagging ego or something.. He's the one that likes the bad girls I guess!

Even with the bad girls of S/O there was some humanity and some things to like about the majority of them.. I have to say though I never saw any positive character qualities in Tess.... I'm sure she had them... just can't recall any displayed while on the show.. But of course we all know she was there for other reasons entirely..

I agree that maybe pulling the info off the front page would be good.. I noticed that people doing a search are probably finding this site quickly. I noticed that one of the BG threads had a huge number of hits.. But then if anyone looks at the link on the front page they are sent to the thread...and nothing positive has been said about the show.. Maybe this site does serve some public good.

Maybe it will serve to bring the show and Oxygen some much needed humiliation.

I am curious about what TY mentioned in a thread about Dr. Stan.. implying that he will somehow be connected to the show.. She never did answer.. Could B/M use the first few episodes to really show the true colors of these women's characters? and then start somehow making them recognize their own major shortcomings?
bring in some help? But at this point it doesn't sound like they have anyone interveneing ... and it's a free for all...

I plan to keep abreast of Reality Shacks recaps...that is if she can stomache the show long enough to want to continue with that effort. I know she was a fan of S/O... and may have only previewed the new show for curiosities sake..

Thanks desireedreamer for the brief recap of what must have been episode 2.. It sounds like melee occurred.. If the women were getting physically hurt because of one's outrageous behavior.. Wouldn't you think they would have grounds to sue b/m?

KPW, that is what I was thinking about them getting sued. Two of the girls were really hurt. Kerry and Jodie had bleeding cuts on them. Kerry appeared truly traumatized.

Have you read the message boards over there?? It is disturbing. Aimee isn't even allowing anyone to post on her anymore. There were some really ugly things being said.

I know it probably was a waste of time to email Oprah, but she is listed in the number 2 spot on the Founders page of Oxygen. So I do hold her somewhat responsible.

You know there is a website called peekvid where you can watch shows on line, maybe you could see it there. Then you can sue me for traumatizing you emotionally!!! ha ha.

It really is just so sad.

Are you talking about the Oxygen website? I saw they have a club... but wouldn't waste my time joining just to lurk..

I was surprised that the realityworld site..which typically has had an anything goes format..and a wide array of posters..has similar comments about the show as all the critics..

I really don't want to watch it... I'm just more hopping mad STILL at b/m and particularly J.Murry.. and the only reason I am gloating that the show is appearing headed to be a big flop! Serves Jon Murray right! Now I don't generally wish ill on people... but this show was born at the expense of S/O... and is a very ill conceived concept that undermines women!

I do hope all the women were traumatized enough to get their acts together!

I noticed that Ty's attempt to create a fan site may have bombed royally too.. (myspace) Either that or the fans are collecting somewhere else! Last comment was posted on 12/5... and all those almost 3000 people on the friends list that TY obviously created to generate an appearance of a fan club.. is strangely quiet..

I wonder if the show even makes it past the end of Dec. I have got to think Oxygen is catching you know what for this.. Couple that with some liability problems.. Maybe they'll yank it sooner rather than later!

Please read some of the media reviews for some good chuckles! One author said Oxygen was running about a quart low... lol!
