Don't you think the program has purposefully selected lousy chefs so that Ramsey will have good reason to scream and swear? I mean if the cooks were actually competent at their job, there would be no reason for the drama. He could then really evaluate the best person for the position.

I have watched the show off and on since it first debuted. However, I am frustrated that the contestantes are no more of a chef than I am. I think I could do better than many of them. If should not be sooo difficult for a professional chef to cook risotto. How can any of them qualify to run a top notch resturant? NOT.

Same opinion here Debby!! I don't believe any of them qualify to win the ultimate prize and become executive chef. They are all so immature!

But… If I had to pick one to win I would choose Keith.

Thanks for the laugh

I get Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares on BBCA on Directv. Really very interesting!! There aren't any scheduled for the next 10 days anyway..........that's how far my tivo lets me check!!! I'll try to give you a heads-up when it's coming on again!!

Maybe it's just because I'm older and have been in numerous professional positions, but there is NO WAY that I would ever let ANYONE talk to me the way CHEF talks to the contestants...especially the women. I understand that there is a lot of pressure, but that is no way to address someone. I wouldn't even talk to my DOG like that!

I would HAVE to talk with him about that. I would wait until after the challenges and let him know that that is unacceptable. If he argued with me about it, I would stand my ground and argue back that there is a way to criticize someone...even in the heat of a bad situation...without the demeaning profanity that he uses. He professes to be such a high class gent and then talks to people like that? Shame on him.

Again, I guess I'm getting old but I have lived and learn. And, to paraphrase good old Dr. Phil...we teach people how to treat us.

Restaurant or not, IMO there is absolutely NO REASON for one human being to talk to another that way.
