Great news! I knew I heard that she might have been in contract negotiations.. But I was worried that she was going to blow the chance by being overly demanding.. I'd never heard of her or seen her (that I know of) before her guest spots on The View..

I think she has been really good on it.. It might give her more name recognition.. But it looks like she had quite a resume already according to that link you provided!

I knew when Whoopie made those comments that there was going to be hell to pay. I understood what she was trying to say, but I can understand how it got misinterpreted. I do not agree with her though. I don't think there is a culture that exist in the south that says dog fighting is acceptable. I have lived in NC my entire life. I have never met anyone who thought dog fighting was acceptable. Everyone knows it is illegal and if they do it, it is hidden. Once in awhile you will hear about a raid where they arrest everyone there at the scene. I'm sure it must go on, but I don't think it is generally accepted in the south as Whoopie suggested, but that's her opinion. I did not take her words to mean she condoned him or that it excused his conduct in any way.

I was more UPSET ABOUT THE COLOR OF THE SET. Is it just my tv or is that set horrible? Barbara and Elisabeth are so washed out and everybody looks orange. It is so bad that it distracts me. I don't think it is my tv because no other shows look that way. Did anyone else notice? The former color was great and calm to the eyes. This one makes me want to put on sunglasses.

Whoopi is right down south it is not a big deal have friends from Alabama who watch dogfights on the weekends.

I sent an e-mail to Bill Geddy their producer with my complaint of the background color. You have to include your name. I hope they don't read it on the air. LOL.

I've been watching The View this week. My first impression was that the show seemed flat... Whoppi seemed a bit bland, but as the week went by... I seem to be getting used to her.

Re the Hot Topics... seems like the ladies are able to discuss with mutual respect for each other opinions. Elizabeth seemed a bit off today... well more that usual... LOL.

I'm not sure about Sherry... too many comics... would have liked to see another news person... like a Lisa Ling type.
