I hope Sherri stays with the show her limited education should not be a factor.

In retrospect, I think you may be right. After rereading my last post, I think it may sound a little snobby and that's not right. It shouldn't matter if she is educated or not. Elisabeth has a college degree and I don't see that it makes much difference in much of her statement. But, I still think it may make a difference with Barbara, depending on how things go on the show.

I watched yesterday's show last night and was quite impressed with Sherri. She made a great comeback and was really quite funny. I don't think I will think about it as much as I originally thought I would. Hopefully, things will continue we the good humor.

Limited education is one thing, not know if the earth is round or flat is another.
Also, she should not be rewarded by her lack of an education by being giving a talk show. Let's get that girl to college, so when, and it is always when, Barbra fires her, she will have a way to make a decent living for the children she has chosen to have without a spouse.

I don't know where you got your info... But I've only heard her mention 1 son.. I looked up her imdb and it says she is separated and filed for divorce. She was originally married in 2001.

According to Sherri's website her son is 19 months old. Not sure if that is current although she mentions landing the job at the View.

I just think the whole thing with Earth is round or flat was silly. I think the direction the conversation was going surrounding evolution, she might well have surmised that it was a trick question and just wanting to avoid it.

She doesn't appear to be stupid..

Info at the imdb.. indicated she had been a secretary.. and after her first acting gig ended wound up working at a law office for 3 more years.

I think she'll be fine..

If you want to check out the info at the imdb..
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0791868/bio

Her website is http://www.sherrishepherd.com/

I know on one of the summer shows she hosted she alluded to a broken marriage..

Thanks for that info KPW.

I've been watching this week and really enjoying the show. I am still annoyed with the interrupting they all do. It's worse than ever. Whoopi must step in and put a stop to it. Don't they have any manners?

Anyway, besides that, I think the show is doing just fine. The audience is still very enthusiastic. I do think the give-a-ways are getting to stingy. They need to loosen up and give more give-a-ways. ONe day the audience each get a camera valued at $300. the next day they each get a free book or DVD. That's not fair. LOL

Yesterday was Elisabeth's last day before leaving for maternity leave. She tried to make it clear that she WOULD be returning in January.

I heard that her husbad, who is a professional football player, was traded to a team in Phoenix and that is where they are moving as a family. She announced it on the show, but I missed it that day. They are moving there immediatley and she is having the baby there. I would think it would be difficult to change doctors just a month or two before delivery after you have established a relationship with someone else. I find it odd, but maybe she doesn't have any choice. I just can't figure out how she is going to have her family live in Phoenix and her commute to The View Monday -Thursday with 2 small children.

I saw a photo of Barbara Walters and Star Jones going out together for breakfast. They reported it was the first such meeting since Star's departure and that it was pleasant. Shock.

Yeah, I wondered why they were moving so abruptly and I wondered if Tim had gotten picked up by another team. Maybe they are going there for the duration of the football season and plan to return to New York after the football season. But I'd guess that if they plan to stay (and if he's third string Quarterback.., I'd reckon they might not invest in property! He could be out of a job again come January!) I'm sure they don't want to aid the rumor mongers..and that is why she is stating her intention to return.

I don't blame her.. If they find they may need to settle in AZ. longer than they can cross that bridge when they get to it.. or if she decides to stay home fulltime.. She is always able to change her mind but might lose out on contract issues. She probably is under contract through the end of the season which I recall being May or June due to the Rosie issues and leaving before the contract was up.

I wouldn't be surprised if they return to New York or the New England states. I think Elizabeth is from Rhode Island.. and her husband is from Mass. so there roots are firmly in the Northeast!
