Is it hot where you guys are? Here in Raleigh, NC it is now 102 degrees! Heat index is supposed to be 114 degrees. I'm not sure of the humidity, but it is so Hot! The air at my home has been running nonstop for days and it still won't get below 74..and that's in the coolest room. I'm sure the warmer rooms are over 77.
I think it needs new coolant, but I know the wait to get an air conditioner repairman must be weeks so I haven't called yet.

wow!! I thought it was hot up here in Boston but it was only in the 90's today.

You know it's hot when the 90's sound like a relief. LOL.

I have watched BB a little. Everytime I try to get into it something just turns me off. I know, that happened to me with the AllStars too but I kept watching. I was watching the other night and Dick was going off about something and it really turned me off. I don't really want to see him anymore.

I did see an article about the show yesterday. I'll got to their thread and post it there.

Hi, from sunny and HOT E.I. (Emerald Isle)... It's been a scorcher this year.. and humid! Last night we had and presume you might have had really bad thunderstorms too. Hopefully that helps...

Logged on today for the first time all week. (Old habits die hard! ) Miss the chatter here at SOT... May only be able to catch up a short bit... catch up better next week. I don't even know whats going on in the world!

Hey KPW. Welcome to NC. I love Emerald Isle. As you know, I was down there a few months ago when I visited with my friend with the young child. I posted a lot about it here.

That beach is so beautiful. What I like the most is that the area is not very commercial. There are mostly beach houses and beach. There is a Food Lion in a small shopping center which is quite convenient.

Have a great time and don't forget the sunscreen. LOL.

If your talking about the Food Lion at the Emerald Plantation Shopping Center we've been going there for years. The house we rented for 3 or 4 years was down the coast a bit.. (7 or 8 miles).. 3 years ago we rented a condo at the Summerwinds complex and it is great.. especially having teens. They (us too!) were able to enjoy outdoor pools and hot tubs.. as well as a sporting complex with indoor pool, tennis courts and workout room)

One night last week we got our annual Michaelangelo's pizza and a few things from the store.. My hubby and his brother went and the shopping center was packed.. Food Lion was out of alot of stuff.. and that was on a Tuesday..

Friday morning, we needed a few grocery items.. and I decided to head down toward Atlantic Beach.. (the other end of the island..) I knew there was a Food Lion there too.. It was about the same distance the opposite way and in a large shopping center that also had a Michalangelo's! It had a movie theatre and a few gift shops.. I love Elly's though! and the bookstore at the shopping center you're talking about! But it was much more pleasant to be able to shop without 200 shopping carts in there at the same time! Everyone trying to grab the same stuff!

Sometimes, we've gone down to Swansboro at a grocery store down there. It was just easier to not fight the packed Food Lion..
There is even a Michaelangelo's in Swansboro!

We tried to eat dinner at R.J. Ruckers on Thursday night.. and it was a 2 - 2 1/2 hour wait... I was hoping to try it... Next time I think we'll try to go to dinner at 4 in the afternoon!

At least it's cooled off a bit! Was a nice ride home yesterday!
