There were earlier posts about Elizabeth trying to get pregnant. Yesterday she once again brought it up. She told Debbie (?) I can't rember her last name it starts with M and is Greek and she used to be on the original panel. I couldn't believe she was on their yesterday kissing butt. They fired her because they didn't think she was smart enough. THat is embarrassing. She didn't know the names of politicians, current events, world leaders, etc. It was hard for her to join in on the topics. Anyway she is on there acting like Barbara is the greatest thing that ever happened to her and thanking the view for her career. Go figure.

Anyway, Elisabeth told her not to wait to get pregnant. She said you may run into trouble and it may take you longer than you expected. Elisabeth also said she was trying to gain weight in an effort to increase her fertility.

I think KPW may be correct. I'm now wondering if in September, Elisabeth says either I'm pregnant so I'm taking time off or I'm trying to get pregnant so I'm taking some time off. If makes you wonder.

Funny, I just made a post on Christies forum about the show she did after SO... (Instant Beauty Pageant on the Style cable network).

I didn't find much..but did find blurbs about the episodes and the hosts. None other than Debbie Metsoupolus (or however you spell it!).. (she is one of the cohosts..)

I didn't see the show way back when... so I have no clue to what went on and what went down!

They showed a short clip yesterday of her first day on the show. Sitting there beside her were Meredith and Star. It is unreal how different Star looked 7 years ago.

Debbie was okay back then, just not very intellectual. I don't know if she went to college or not. There are college graduates who are no more intellectual than those who don't have a degree.
She did okay on the show yesterday. Confessed that she starves herself to stay thin. The word is they don't serve bread in LA. It's just not something people do there anymore.


I can't see them asking her to come back for good, although, she has many of the qualities they seem to want. I don't think she is young enough. I think they want a young women of color. Brandy may be a strong possiblity.

I would love to see Iyanla on there, even if she isn't very young.

I have not watched The View in a long time, but may have to take it up again, after reading these posts!
I remember Debby M....and liked her, actually! Thought her youth and lack of experience a good "foil" for the other women...a light touch. I thought Barbara seemed fond of her too, and wasn't sure why she was replaced.
Meredith was my favorite, though! Would love to see Iyanla join the group...would be sure to watch then!!

I heard on the news last night that the problem on the plane was that she had a blow dryer in her carry on bag and got into an argument with the flight attendent when questioned about it. I don't know what I think about that. That seems like a crazy thing to be kicked off a plane for. I wonder if she is attempting to match Star with her Diva self.

I know Debby...........perspectives are interesting. Mine is somewhat colored regarding Joy........as I've found her to be rather in poor taste very often. Not that all of them don't do it and occasionally it is funny, it's just too much sometimes for me how Joy goes so over the top about marriage and children and stuff. But it's not like I'm a total fan of Monique either........I do find myself laughing at all of them now and then..........but I get sick of it all too. The "roast" for Meredith was waaaaaaaaaay out of my taste-range!! Maybe because I keep hoping that some of these older ladies will show a balance with being loud and funny and being ladies. I wouldn't like an extreme either way all the time.............just a bit more balance!

I know it seems odd since I watch so much Reality t.v. and enjoy it...........but maybe that's the point for me..........I expect these ladies not to be "reality" t.v. but enjoyable real-life viewpoints and normal behavior (not "on" all the time!).

So I do agree with you Debby, that my perspective was already not in Joy's favor AND I really do like what Monique is doing with her "big girls" beauty pageants too!!!

I am an avid watcher of "The View", I do miss Meredith, but I am so glad that "Diva Starr" is finally gone! What a bore! Personally, I cannot stand "Monique", yes, I know it is in to like fat women, but, I think that Monique is another Starr Jones without the intellect.

I would love to see them find another permanent host with more of the qualities of Meredith or Dianne Sawyer, a mature, yet somewhat irreverant, mature woman of substance!
