Considering what all that has happened recently... Ya, she's right. Alot of overreacting on both sides.. and on the panel. Elisabeth may be getting ready to bail... and you got Rosie coming in to head the panel and Joy already on the panel.. Maybe 2 comics too many.. and take the show down a whole new path. They need a solid anchor personality to fill that extra seat to salvage the show. (IMHO)..

I think they were going to try on several people once the season starts before they make a final decision. That is unless they decided during the hiatus..and Barbara had indicated that they weren't going to fill it right away.

I am one of those who did not watch the Veiw very often. While
I enjoyed Joy Baher (s?), I never really cared for Star , or
Elizabeth. The few times I saw her, I felt bad for her. She is awfully
young to have made so much in her life black and white, along with
judgeing people.
I loved Rosie's show. She always seemed honest and it was her
wish for the show to be fun and not an issues type show.
I knew of her sexual preference even before her show, and that
had nothing to do with whether I liked her or the show. I think that
she will be a breath of fresh and honest air on the show and I WILL
WATCH.

I'll check it out too (if I remember to set the tivo!!). I actually can listen and learn from most...............I don't have to agree with them. As much as I don't like Joy sometimes, I really do enjoy her other times.........she can be soooo funny!! I liked Rosie a lot, and respected her for not making sexual preference a platform or anything. She just is who she is...........a funny entertainer. So....I guess time will tell if this will be an enjoyable and productive format or not!

Today was the first day of the new season. It was pretty good. I'm generally not a Rosie fan, but she seemed to mix well with the other women.

I thought it seemed a little strained at the beginning..

I didn't watch all of it.. But Rosie did seem loose... and tried to include all the women.. I didn't see any overt hostility going on... The audience was beside themselves.. I'm sure it wasn't the ugly new set. (I didn't care for it..)

I did see a cute promo commercial while watching the tvguide channel (scrolling programming).. It was a caberet style song and dance with Rosie in the lead and Joy and Elisabeth as sidekick contributors.. Then in the end, Barbara says don't quit your dayjob..

I suppose in response to their caberet performances.. But really it was very cute!

I didn't know that Joy and Elisabeth rubbed each other the wrong way???? Also other tidbits that might have gotten lost in the show...
