Rosie leaving is best news for the show she brings to much controversy.

I am not happy about this. The View with Rosie is great. It is so exciting now. I record and watch every evening. It replaced the time I used to spend with SO. I'm not going to watch after she leaves. I think it will just be too dull.

I don't buy that she wanted 1 year and they wanted 3. That's nonsense. But, if that's the story Barbara and her people created and Rosie went along with it, so be it. Remember the story they had created for Star Jones?

They will regret their decision when the ratings go down. If they want to go back to that quiet little show, they can.

Who knows, maybe they'll get someone even better. We'll have to wait and see.

I agree... something sounds fishy... common sense says if you want someone for three years and they are only willing to give one... duh... take the one.

Barbara went out of her way to say that she had nothing to do with the negotiations, and Rosie backed her up.

I really enjoy the hot topics, but I felt they were not exactly fair and balanced... LOL.

I didn't see the show today when she made the announcement...but one source says that Rosie put a vote to her kids and family... I don't think they liked her being the butt of controversy either..

I had heard that she was exploring the possibility of having her own show again.. I'm sure she'd love to have full production powers/rights..or whatever it's called that she can do what she wants without having to cowtow to others.. Although she'll have some problems with advertisers from time to time.. I don't think that ever became an issue at the View..!


I think the issues between Trump and Rosie...have been pretty bizarre and immature on both their parts. Rosie would do well to ignore him! He's an idiot... and that was even before he started the bashing of Rosie..

She is saying on her blog, which I have always found to be pretty brutally honest, that ABC wanted her to sign for 3 and she would only sign for 1.

I kinda thought maybe ABC did that because they knew she would leave......this way they didn't have to say they didn't want to renew her. However good she was for ratings, they were getting alot of heat because of her "views" and they have to look at the big picture.
