Starting Over Talk

I think you're right about Elisabeth, KPW. She tends to be a rather obsessed parent. She admitts she is continuously in her daughter's face and trying to engage with her about something. (Reminds me of one of my girlfriends) Doing that with 2 little ones may be more than she is used to.

They do only tape 4 days per week and I think from what they say about when they arrive at the studio for makeup and all, they are only there about 3-4 hours. Most working mothers I know would love to have a part-time schedule like that, but, if she doesn't have to work for the money, why push it? Her true passion seems to be her family anyway. I just think she was very fortunate to get that job and if she takes off a couple of years, she may have a hard time coming back to a comprehable position.

I think Whoopie will do okay. I have heard her say several times that she is no longer a Democrat nor a Republican. I think she is now registered Independent, so her take on the political issues may be interesting.

It's good to see the audience enthusiasm has continued since Rosie left. I never thought that would happen. I suspect the free gifts may have something to do with that. LOL.

Watching "The View" now and they just announced Whoopie will be the moderator.

I hope they folllow up with announcing Sherri is also joining the panel. Maybe they wanted to do it separately so as to not steal the other one's thunder.

that was the way it looked to me, they made a big hoopla by waiting for the last 15 minutes of the show (they had only 3 there today, did Dr Gadget earlier in the segment than earlier) and then had Whoopie come through the crowd and all that. THey devoted the last 15 minutes to her and they talked about her thoughts and her past edginess (her bold routines) and even asked her if she thought about her wardrope.

I think sometime this week or next they will announce Sherri's spot. They aren't going to be taking the seats til after Labor Day so they have time for Sherri.

Now I'm a little worried. I've heard that Sherrie and the show hung a snag and she's off the list. They said that she wanted 2 million for the first year, which is the same as Whoopie is getting. They didn't think it fair to pay her the same as Whoopie. I don't either.

Sherrie must be crazy to walk away from that show because of greed. I didn't know who she was until she came on THe View. I guess she thinks she more valuable than NBC does. Anyway, if this is true, they must select someone else. Too bad, I liked Sherrie the best.
