Did anyone see the show last night. I think it was one of those now airing that they call the lost episodes. It was about Zach and Jeremy on the high school soccer team. I couldn't tell if it was filmed for this season or not. Anyway, Zack was complaining to his soccer coach, Mike, that he felt that the regular size guys on the team didn't give him respect because of his size. Mike said he understood, but that he could not make the team give him respect, that he would have to earn it for himself. Amy jumps in and says, Mike, I agree with Zach on this. Mike held his ground and reieterated what he has just said.

I ask you, "Does Amy have some kind of vendetta against men?" I think she was out of line by disagreeing with her son's coach in his presence. It's just the way she deals with Matt all the time, but I was surprised to see her do it with other people too.

I thought she was coming at it as a little person though... Probably the struggle of constantly having to prove yourself. I think that was what Zach was struggling with. He said something to the effect of you can do 10 things right and one mistake wipes the slate.

That was my take on it..

I know alot of the recent shows seem to be a mismash of stuff.

I think alot of it is the personality differences between Amy and Matt.... Some of it is a cynical sarcasm tendency. I do agree it goes way too far sometimes.. I get the feeling that they are focusing on that sometimes with Matt's little comments.

All that dirt coming in there...was a much earlier episode before the house remodeling.. Matt seems to have his devious ways of getting what he wants and doing what he wants anyway.

What did you think about that apple fighting fort..? I would have had a cow if I had been a parent of any of them! They were on the roofs of some of those forts and throwing apples at each other. All I ever thinkof if someone gets hit in the eye or falls off! It did look it could have been a fun activity with some guidelines.. (wet nerf balls or whiffle balls or something..) and stay off the roofs!

I hold my breath on almost every show. They do all kinds of things that my parents would consider too dangerous. Jacob is especially accident prone. Remember all the times he has gotten stung, cut, hit, etc. He seems to get the worst of it.

When I saw Jeremy sitting outside at night with a shotgun to hunt moles, I freaked. The way he yelled at Jeremy about not to point the gun at his feet, lead me to believe that the kids haven't had gun safety classes. That is a must IMO.

I just hope they make it to adulthood. LOL.

I totally agree about gun safety......that is just ridiculous!!! I have no issues with hunting.......even kids, but it is only common sense (and law where we are!) to have gun/hunter safety courses!!!!

Some of the stuff is just kids growing up on a farm and rural life..............to me like seeing kids in the city grow up crossing busy streets!!! But sometimes they do have too much of a lack of supervision!!

I understand that Amy, as a mom, wants "fairness" for her kids. I do too!! I have had to learn to let it go sometimes and let my kids learn that sometimes things are really, really unfair. I think it's even harder for her to do this with Zach since he does have more of a mountain to climb. It's a tough balancing act. But I also think that Mike should stand his ground with exactly how he feels and that's the way the ball bounces............literally!!!!

I think both Amy and Matt both take turns getting what they want!

Okay, I know I have been quite hard on Amy in the past, but PLEASE....if you saw last night's lost episode, you know she just takes the cake. What a piece of work. Her husband's health situation is so serious that it makes me hurt just to watch him walk, but she insist he work at a job that requires extensive travel. To top it off she doesn't even appreciate it. She turns on him whenever she gets the chance.

Last night Matt suggested the family have a Fall Festival/Halloween party. He brought up some ideas and asked the family for their reaction. Jeremy and Molly were in support but then of course Zach has to throw his little temper tantrum and dis the idea. He is such a party pooper. Wonder where he got that from? Then of course Amy has to jump on Zach's side even though there was no reason for it. She attacks Matt as if it were a criminal idea he suggested.

I'm sure part of having that show is to make it interesting. Having the party would have been a good opportunity to bring in some new faces and show the family having some fun rather than sitting around and listening to Amy complain and put her husband down over and over. It seems that work for her is just unbearable but if it's work for Matt, well that's just fine.

I know I've tried to have a balanced view about both..........neither are perfect and certainly can irritate the other.

But I'm just seeing too much negativity in Amy that TOTALLY is obviously rubbing off on Zach. I'm sorry he has a difficult future...............but sooooooooooo many people do in many different ways!!!!! And not helping them to see the positives and ENJOY the life they can make for themselves really is robbing them of something!!!!
