I think Rhonda should be on the view.

Wow, I had never thought of Rhonda Britten before. She might actually make for a really interesting co-host. She definitely could stand her own ground with the other women. She's not afraid to speak her mind either.

I think Rhonda would be good too. One question is would she want or need to continue to coach or do her other work with client's? I would imagine it may be uncomfortable to do that if you are on the air everyday revealing so many personal details about your life. You know what I mean? But then again, she reveals pretty much everything on her blog so I guess that doesn't bother her.
Also, if given the chance would Rhonda leave Mr. Love-a-Lot to move to NY? From her description, he didn't sound like a city person to me...plus he has the child in Colorado and all.
Another problem is that Rhonda may not have the name recognition they want when they replace Rosie. People in certain circles know her, but not the general public. Of course, the daytime audience that would be watching everyday aren't the general population. Would they remember SO? I know Rhonda has had exposure of Oprah too.
This will be an interesting task.

Post edited by: Debby, at: 2007/05/31 11:38

Jill Tracey should be in the running. She's smart, funny and gorgeous! She would truly be an asset to that show.
Maybe Barbara and Bill should consider giving Joy and Elizabeth the boot. Joy is obnoxious and Elizabeth is annoying and neither can draw or keep viewers. Does anyone tune in just to see them or hear what they have to say?

I do like Joy and Elisabeth on the show. No, I don't always like what they say, but I think it's a good mix. I don't want to see an entire panel who has the same opinions as I do on everything.
I think Jill Tracy would be great too, however, I think that first they want to pick a big name person. While people like her, I don't know that she has the name recognition The View really wants right now. I think they want to court the biggest names they can. However, never say never, I thought they were making a big mistake when they brought Rosie aboard. I forecast fireworks, and they did happen, except it turned out being a big boost for the show as opposed to a disaster.

Many may not agree with me, but sad as it is to say I believe that "The View" has lost it's touch and at this point nothing can help to bring it back to the fine show that it once was. How it has hung on this long with all of the changes made this past year is beyond me...I am one of those that stopped watching. I wasn't even curious enough to tune in when the fighting got going...which many folks did just to see the next "ROUND" of the fight. That's not what THE VIEW was about.
I will remember the show when it was interesting, news was discussed with out someone trying to force their personal opinions on everyone, we learned things, saw entertainment that we might not have ever had the chance to see...and it was fun and upbeat.
New co-host???? Who in their right mind would want to sit in one of those chairs now and try to fix what apparently is / has gone down for the count? Is there really a chance to breath new life into the show or should it just fade away quietly (well as quietly as it can at this point) and someone find a new something for that valuable time slot in the AM that can be a perk for the daytime viewers...it would be a welcome treat.
In closing...if anyone is taking a vote...I am sick and tired of Rosie's antic's...enough is enough...anyone who lives through her life vicariously is a glutton for punishment...and I USE TO BE A FAN OF HERS!
