Here are a couple links. Maybe you'll recognize him. He has done some talk shows and was featured one morning last week or earlier this week on the Today show with clips from his interview with John Mark Karr... ( I think it was a publicity gimmick he used to promote his show..) From one of the sites I saw the other day (not necessarily these) that the clips were released only to the Today show..

My impression of him even before his show started airing was that he might have been trying to tap into the popularity of Dr. Phil...

It's rather dry...compared to Dr. Phil.. He also seems to be more drawn to the more controversial type news stories..

You can probably find out if the show is available in your area at the WB site.. I initially didn't think it was going to be on in my area but one of the WB channels did pick it up.

As someone mentioned in another thread... There are way too many new shows on this season.. I think it probably throws off the viewing numbers. I am still seeing new ads for new shows still debuting! Some shows probably won't get half a chance if they are set up in poor slots.. I can't remember a season where so many new shows,(dramas, reality and talk shows) debuted at the same time.

I haven't any clue about which of the new talk shows are going to survive.. But I wouldn't bet any money on Dr. Ablow unless he changes his format or personality.

Anybody here watching it regularly? I checked it out the first couple days... I saw a part of a show a week or 2 ago where I recognized the guests as having been on a reality show a few weeks prior.

I have kept trying to give it a chance. It comes on a CBS station in my area. He just doesn't have it. Whatever IT is. He keeps asking questions but never gets anywhere. The end of the show is no different from the beginning or the middle. He says he is a psychiatrist, but he doesn't seem to know very much. Oprah has more insight and expert than he does and she isn't a doctor.

The show boast that critics say the show is riviting. I don't believe that for a minute. His topics include sex offenders, polygamy, and married swingers, which aired today. He never really offered any info about married swingers...he just stood there and asked general questions. The audience had more insight to offer than he did. How did this man get this job???

It's just not my cup of tea. I doubt it will make it. I hope not.

the new south park was about female sex offenders. ike's kindergarten teacher was in love with him. all the adult males in the town kept saying "nice", "she's hot right" and "the only crime is that she isn't doing it with me". dr. phil had a teacher on who slept with her 15 year old student. her lawyer said she was socially like a 15 year old and that the student was not your average 15 year old he was very sophisticated. ha ha ha, how many 15 year old boys do you know that are sophisticated?? if you've ever seen the datelines where they lure guys on the internet with a 13 year old girl, they allways say they weren't going to do anything, they were just curious. give me a break. it seems the male and female offenders just don't think they are doing anything really wrong. and no i'm never watching dr. ablow again.

Did anyone see Will from Big Brother with his girlfriend on Dr. Ablow? The topic was reality show romances. He also had the couple that met, fell in love and got married from meeting on The Biggest Loser and a girl that met and married a fellow contestant from Extreme Makeover.

It was pretty good. Will looked strange to me though.
