SO moved around to different times in my area. It used to be on at 10:00, then 11:00 then 12:00.

Dr. Ablow seems to just be an interviewer and not a counselor. I have never heard him give any concrete advice. When people say ridiculous things, he just accepts and moves along. He never stops them and says "Get real," and challenges them to explain the comment or back it up. I just don't know what people get out of that. He's nice, but I would prefer somone with more backbone. He is definitely not trying to over dramatize the show, I can give him that.

DR. Ablow used to come on the Tyra Banks Show last season as the psychologist for certain topics that show was discussing.

Did he ever give anyone any concrete advice or just listen to the problems when he was on Tara?

i've seen this show once. they had on families that were polygamists. dr. ablow seemed very enthralled about this lifestyle. he really came off as creepy to me. he just kept saying how regular people can't understand the benefits of having a family with 4 or 5 wives and 20 or more children. i didn't care for him.

Every single time I have seen this show, I am bored to tears. I honestly think it could put me to sleep if I had insomnia. He just asks question after question and never gets to a point. Maybe it's just me, but, I think this show needs to go.

I'm sure he is a nice man but he is just too low key for my taste. Even if I were in private therapy with him, I would find his technique too passive.

I just happened to flip by the top of the show this afternoon and recognized the people. The guests on the show today were a the familie involved in wife swap just 2 weeks or so ago... One wife was the driven over achiever and the other wife was the wait on her husband and son (who were gaming addicts) hand and foot. I did appreciate what each couple bought out of the experience after the WS show.. Dr. Ablow was pretty much showing clips of the show... I saw him trying to overanalyze the husband of the overachiever wife... He was trying to say that "Isn't it true because of your own childhood that you used sports and travel to avoid intimacy..?" (something tot hat effect) The man just looked at him and when it was reworded he told Dr. Ablow that I don't agree with that.. I think it caught Dr. Ablow off guard.. but I never got the impression that that husband was avoiding anything.. I think he fell victim to his wife's overbearing and overachieving ways.

I thought the Wifeswap show concluded on a positive note for both families..

In essence... Dr. Ablow was pretty much doing a recap of Wife swap but trying to psycho analyze everyone.. I thought he was rather insulting trying to draw conclusions from their childhoods. I think he was trying to get them to concede his conclusions and they wouldn't... I don't blame them...

It was almost surreal how Dr. Ablow was trying to drive the conversation. I really am not wild about his show after seeing a chunk of it today. Had I not seen wifeswap I probably wouldn't have even stopped to catch what he was doing with it..
