That is the direct approach and she is a direct approach person. If the roles were reversed, she would have no problem tellling me what she thought.

I intend to go visit in July. I am going to talk to her about childcare in advance to see if she has a new nanny and how involved her family is in babysitting. If she doesn't have something in place, I may just ask if there is someone who she could get help from so that the ladies can go out and have some adult time. If she says no, then I will say to let me know when that happens. I mean is it unrealistic to expect some adult time under the circumstances?

I hope this goes well.

I believe "some adult time" is always a realistic expectation. We all have choices and we all have the ability to make compromises. I'm a direct type of gal... I was never into reading minds... LOL, however, I have learned to be delicate in communicating my needs so as not to offend people I care about. Respecting your needs as well as your friend's needs... and visa versa are key.

Let us know how it goes.
