I saw parts of yesterdays show but didn't catch the previews. While I was searching around, I did find reference to Dr. Phil when he was filling in for Larry King earlier in April and Maureen was making the rounds regarding CFC. Maybe something was said then and her father is actually abusive. I wonder why it was that she had to put her brother in a special facility and not her dad? Maybe he had removed himself from overseeing his son's care. That interview seemed to have gone well.
I will keep an eye out. You know though, that you can't always count on previews to give accurate depictions of shows.. Didn't we learn that with SO's previews?
Maureen did have other issues she's had to deal with when she was younger. She seems to have what appears to be a good marriage and an almost adult daughter. In the realm of Hollywood the fact that she and her husband are still together must say something about her. I have not had a bad impression of her on any of the interviews. She seems to be an sensitive person typically and tears up easily. It wouldn't take much conflict with her dad to get her to cry I don't think.
But my impression is that she isn't a liar and I'm going to give her a huge benefit of doubt on this one! There's more to that interview than meets the eye... But I'm sure if there is dirt on Maureen that the tabloids would have been having a field day out of it. Maybe her dad resents her celebrity..
Who knows! I feel bad for her! (at this point anyway!)
