Sad and true............but I think it really was so unnecessary. He had great ratings and an authentic appeal to a cross-section of viewers. Oh well...............not many can remain true to their roots and who they are with the fame and fortune, can they?

Yes, he must know this. How can he maintain his self respect? Maybe he has too many yes men around him.
He is soooo proud of his crew. He praises them all the time, but really who are they? The few that I have seen the crew made me wonder if they are high school or college interns....not that there is anything wrong with that, but he makes it sound a certain way that just makes me wonder, especially after seeing that director standing in the alley way behind the studio frantically calling 911. She was there with a wife whose husband had just left the studio in a car bound for rehab and jumped out of the car. Professionals thought he could be a danger to her. You really had to see it, but it turned me off.
What was so funny is that when they left the drama in the alley, they took the wife into Dr. Phil's office and he sat there calmly as if he was bored and told Wife that she had to stop letting her husband push her buttons and she needed to just calm down. I know, UNBELIEVEABLE. His own crew has just created that scene. Go Figure.
He must know viewers are turned off by this junk. How could he not know? People post their _object_ions on his message board all the time.

I stopped watching Dr. Phil this year... I didn't like the way he was treating his guests. I felt he was humiliating them and that behavior turned me off.
Wouldn't it be nice to see Dr. Stan with his own show?

Amen sister.
I just posted about Dr. Stan under the Bad Girls Club thread. I finally saw him on that show last night! What a hoot. I won't repeat my opinion here.
Dr. Stan is so much better that Dr. Phil, IMO. He seems to like television, as he keeps going on shows. Certainly somebody wants him.
I've grown weary of Dr. Ablow. He is smart, but so laid back about everything. I just want to say get some backbone man. There was a 14 year old girl dating a 19 year old man on the show. She was upset her mom wouldn't get off her back. She snapped at her mother on the stage and told her to shut up. Dr. Ablow just stood there. The absurbity of the situation just went way over his heard.

Did any of you see Dr. Phil today and yesterday? It was a 2 parter that has turned into a 3 parter. Yesterday he had a couple who were near divorce because of Husband lying and cheating on her. He vowed he had changed but the show did a polygraph and he failed. Dr. Phil was trying to get him help in treating whatever was causing this compulsive behavior. I kept screaming at the tv, Run for your life lady. THis guy seemed crazy to me and not the kind of man you want to live with, especially with his cheating and lying. He gave me the creeps.
Anyway, the couple leaves the show and returns home and the Husband confides in his wife that he has raped and murdered several people. He described how and when he did it and even took her to the scene of where he claims he left one of the bodies!!!! Wife says he got very sexually aroused when he told the accounts. She now has a restraining order against him and the FBI and police are trying to see if his claims are true.
Tomorrow he is coming back on the show to answer questions. Is this the craziest thing you have ever heard of? It turns out my instincts are right.
I'm thinking that even if he is lying about these stories, that is just as horrific as if he had really done it IMO.
