Starting Over Talk

Oh I don't think she'll do well for the show. It's one thing placing blame and other things on the government but Nancy seems to go for the jugular with regular people who are suppose to be innocent until proven guilty.

The way she responded to the Elizabeth Smart case is enough to make me not want to even listen to her opinions. Even when proven wrong she refuse to step down off her pedestal and said that you can't blame her for opinion. "Because he was an ex-con" was all she needed to assume his guilt?

BLAH... if they sign her they might as well cancel the show.

There is a lot of discussion that Nancy provides info that is not accurate on a regular basis on purpose. I'm not sure about that. I did hear that when she was a district attorney, she got into a lot of trouble with prosecutorial misconduct and that is why she had to leave the profession. I don't know if that is true either. Seems to me that if it were true, people would publically slam her for it.

However, she is so adamant most of the time, I could see it happening. There is also a lot of talk that she should have held off on condeeming the Duke Lacrosse p_layer_s. She slammed them really bad. I don't know what her spin is on that now.

By the way, did anyone see a guest host on The View one day a short time after the Duke Lacrosse p_layer_s charges were all dismissed? I can't remember who it was but some young girl, sorta like Jennifer Love Hewitt, but I can't remember exaclty who. Any way, she said that even though the team members were not guilty on that crime, that they were probably guilty of something just as bad because you could just look at them and know this...they are young, rich, white athletes, partying with a stripper. I was appalled and really shocked that Rosie and Joy didn't jump on her about the statement, but everybody just let it slide. WHile drinking and partying with a stripper may not be the best conduct for young college men, it doesn't mean they should service 15 years in prison for it.

If you remember who the girl was let me know.

ABC says Nancy Grace isn't headed to 'The View'

An ABC spokesman denied a gossip blurb that rumored Nancy Grace as a possible replacement for Rosie O'Donnell on "The View."

Both The New York Daily News and The Chicago Sun-Times ran small items this week describing Grace's interest in the job.

"I hear a new (rumor) every day, but there's no truth to any of it," the spokesman said. "There's been no decision (on O'Donnell's replacement), there's no announcement upcoming."

Grace's representatives declined to comment on the record, dismissing the talk as just a rumor.

Grace, originally from Macon, announced this week she was ending her Court TV show this summer but would continue her show on CNN Headline News.

Thanks TigerRose. It's nice to think the announcement is true. I doubt Nancy would announce it, if she wanted the job for fear of embarrassment if she didn't get it. She has to know she has a harsh exterior that may limit her range on possible shows.

I am confused. I didn't know she had 2 shows. Which one is she leaving? The only thing I see her on is the Nancy Grace show that comes on at 8:00 p.m. I guess that is her CNN show.
I know there is a thread on her on the Court TV message board that is quite brutal. Talk about unpopular.

While watching the Anna Nicole coverage I was seeing her on an afternoon program around the 3 or 4 p.m. time _frame_. Not sure what it was called. I was surprised that she was doing 2 differnt shows but then I thought Courttv and Headline News Channel might have been owned by the same parent company.

I'm not a Nancy Grace fan.. She comes across as very overbearing and I don't think that would make for a good cohost on a panel format like The View.
