Coincidences are really cool to compare! I totally believe in them.............sometimes............sometimes not!!! Depends.

Name coincidences I believe are true coincidences!!

Anna Nicole and her son both dying young and in very similar circumstances???? Not so much...........you see, if there are other parties involved who choose NOT to act for someone's well-being, I say that person holds a degree of responsibility.

I also do believe sometimes history does, indeed, repeat itself. But there are many reasons as to why!!

Grizz... I also agree with you about the coincidence.. IF you are involved with the same problems (aka alcohol or drugs) judgement is often affected and can lead down similar paths. But then again, if there are other common denominators which might be in this case (Stern) then that has to be looked at carefully. Seems to be some conflict whether Daniel was really involved in drugs the same way his mother was. I hope the inquest gets to the bottom of what really happened.

With the Anna Nicole situation, I noticed several coincidences. Anna's rich husband's name was Howard... (J.Howard Marshall).. and of course then we have Stern.. whose name is Howard.. Both judges involved with the case in Florida were named Larry.. (Larry Seidlin and Larry the pot smoker!) (Probate judge and family judge... who also coincidentally were reassigned to the other's court a week or 2 ago.. Seidlin went to family court and the other judge went to Probate)

I noticed also that Larry and Daniel had the same birthdays. January 22nd.

Your are right about even more coincidences within the Anna Nicole case, which leads to me look at how many coincidences there were with Anna and Maryland Monroe...I recently saw Hugh Heffner talking about all the similarities...PLUS, Maryland was linked to the Kennedy family(affairs with John and Robert). Look at the coincidences in that family! The water and air accident coincidences are unreal. I can't recall them all, but, the sister who was killed in a plane crash with her boyfriend in Europe,(I think it was in the 50's)
boat crash injuries in the war by Joseph and John, car wreck off of the bridge by Teddy, plane crash by John Jr. and I think there are even more that I have left out.

What is more amusing is that a couple of months ago I was watching them interview one of the Kennedys, at a benefit in Colorado at a ski resort. Some of the Kennedy family consisting of kids, teens and adults were in the background horseplaying. One of them climbed on the shoulders of another who had on skis and rode on the skiers shoulders. He could barely support the weight on his shoulders as he came down the slope. It looked sooo unsafe. Everybody else was laughing and thought it was all in fun. Go figure.

Debby, I don't know if you remember that one of the Kennedy kids (Robert's) died in a skiing accident about 10 years ago.

When you mentioned the horseplay, it vaguely reminded me of some incident and i did a search.

Here's a link.. Maybe that is what the benefit was connected with.. although I think the family has alot philanthropic ties and outreach events. Ethel Kennedy founded or helped found the Special Olympics. Maybe they have a winter sports version..

That family certainly has had it's share of tragedies.. Senator Edward Kennedy was also involved in a plane accident and I think broke his back when he was younger..

Not to mention the strange and horrific way both John and Robert died... by assasins.

There has been alot more tragedies.. The death of a drug overdose of another Kennedy child.. The cancer that took the leg of one of Senator Kennedy's children when he was young.

This reminds me of a weird thing that happened to me in the early 80's. At the time I was working as a 911 operator at our local police dept. and attending school part time. Along with some co-workers I attended a law enforcement seminor at Wrightsville Beach, NC. It was sponsored by the FBI.

One night we went out to a local club to hear a band and dance. I met this attractive, 20 something, very intelligent, casual but well dressed man. He had a table to himself and didn't talk to anyone around him. Somehow he smiled at me and asked if I would like to sit with him. I agreed and we chatted for hours. He said he was there just relaxing for a few days. He refused to dance. He wanted to know everything about me and was very tight lipped about his life. He told me he was from New York and that his father was not in his life, but, his uncle was and that he worked in government. He never told me his last name but said his first name was David.

I was very impressed with this young man, even though he didn't live nearby, I gave him my telphone number and address. Not smart, I know, but I thought he might write to me. I was very naive. He said he would call my hotel the next day to have brunch but, he didn't.

Anyway, about 2 weeks later, I am at home in bed sleeping because I sometimes worked the night shift. I was awakened by someone knocking at my door. By the time I got up and threw on a robe, the person had gotten into their very nice car and was pulling out of my driveway. I couldn't tell who was in the car. It peaked my interest, because I didn't know anyone with a car that nice and anyone who knew me would have known not to wake me up during the day when I was working night shift.

I did manage to get the license number and when I got to work I ran the tag through the DMV. It was a Virginia or Maryland tag and was registered to the Estate of Ethel Kennedy! I was shocked. Was it the same Kennedys? I'll never know. Was the driver of that car the David I met at the beach. If if was the David Kennedy, he is now dead. I think it really was. He was the son of the late Robert Kennedy. I kinda wish I had tried to follow up and contact him, but, I didn't. Of course, it could have just been a coincidence. It gives me chills just thinking about it.
