I did a yahoo search on david kennedy pictures... and got this hit.

I think this is David... and he was a very handsome guy. He died in 84... I'm sure if you saw his picture it might ring a bell or not. Compared to the rest of the Kennedy's, he appears to have his own special look. Many of the others share unique characteristics..

I was going to post that link...but it's humongous. Just do a search.. the hit I came up with also had the rest of the kennedy family tree.

It did have an option to view just that picture and it's link was significantly shorter.. Check it out. Maybe the pict will confirm or discount who your paths crossed with way back when!

The Robert Kennedy family did live in McLean.. Probably about 5 miles from where I grew up. I've seen the house before.. Not sure if Ethel still lives there. (Do you know she and Andy Williams dated or had some sort of special friendship or relationship for many many years?) I think The Shrivers were based in Md. (That was Eunice Kennedy and her husband Sgt. Shriver).. Maria Shriver (Arnold Shwarzeneggar's wife was from that clan!) Kathleen Kennedy Townsend is the attorney general of Md. now.. so I guess she moved over the river at some point during her professional career!

Thanks for the photo. I found one photo too, but, not as good as yours. It could be him, but, I couldn't swear on the Bible. It has been app. 25 years ago. He had that same kind of look...Boyishly handsome with a great smile and much charm and brown hair. I wish we had had phone cameras back then. I would have a photo for sure.

In a way it makes me feel bad, because what if I screwed up a shot of being a Kennedy...oh well, considering the heartaches those people have had, it may have been for the best.

As far as the Virginia connection...at the time someone kind to my house, I was living in Vance County which is one removed from the Virginia border. It's very close to the VA, NC line.

I posted something about this case earlier on an Anna Nicole thread. My point was about the coincidences that occur in life and whether they actually are just that.

Michael Peterson was charged with murdering his wife by pushing her down the staircase in their beautiful home in Durham, NC. He strongly denied it. They were both very prominent in the community and it was a huge shock to everyone. As it turns out, the officials did their homework and discovered that a good friend of Peterson had died from FALLING DOWN a STAIRCASE years earlier in Germany. He got custody of her kids and their trust fund.

After the current death, they went back to Germany and resumed the friend's body and discovered it was not accidental after all. That evidence was introduced at trial against Peterson. He was the last person to see both women alive.

Was this just a coincidence? I mean, knowing 2 people who die in a plane crash is one thing, but, being the last person to see 2 different people alive before they fall down a staircase and die is really odd.

The tv movie is coming on April 15, at 8:00 on Lifetime channel. I can't wait. Check it out and let me know what you think.

Oh I saw the previews for that movie Debby and remember when that story hit the news. I'll try to remember to tivo it........I know when I heard about the second woman to "accidentally" die by falling down a staircase.....I didn't buy it!!!

Coincidences certainly can be very entertaining to compare!!

Just saw the post about the movie... It was almost 10:00 the tail end... and I checked to see if it was being reshown. Sometimes they show these movies back to back.. Not this time but I did see that it will have an encore presentation Monday night at 9...(p.m.)

I'll try to watch it too...

It is supposed to come on again tonight (Monday), not sure what time. It was good. It takes about 15 minutes to get into it, but, then it's good. The actors really resemble the real people, especially, the ones who played Peterson and the D.A. Hardin. Hardin was exactly like the real one. The lady who played the Asst. D.A. was off. She looked like her, but, the accent was too fake.
A natural southern accent is hard to imitate. Most people try too hard and it is soooo obvious. The rest of the people had normal southern accents. Some of the kids didn't have one at all which is normal here with transplants from other parts of the country and from children that attend boarding school.

They followed the real facts of the case very close. There was much that was left out. They could have used 4 hrs. to do it justice.

Peterson claimed that the Durham Police were idiots. (They are the ones who charged him) They are also the ones whe did the investigation into the Duke Lacrosse Team. Of course, it was the Durham D.A. who chose to prosecute. I thought that was kind of odd. Jim Hardin was the D.A. for the Peterson case , but, not the Duke LaCrosse Team case.
