I wish Rosie would realize that she doesn't give the same level of toleration that she feels that should be shown to her opinion/ beliefs. She doesn't even hear someone out before she jumps on them and doesn't want to hear it... and this leads to feeling of being attacked. We all do it from time to time but it's all the time on almost all issues with Rosie. Elizabeth has been passionate about her ideas but there is a difference between passionate and railroading. Rosie comes across that her opinion is right, her logic is perfect ... and that it's wiser to shut up, listen and learn of what she says is true. Almost like if someone was able to defend what they believe they might misled others...
I think that is what I don't like about her.. she doesn't allow others to see a different truth than the ones she believes in. She's perfect in her politics, her parenting, her causes... she comes across superior... even if that is not her intention.. she might truely feel she's 'educating' others who've been blinded by the 'other side'....
I do believe she's sorry she hurt Elizabeth's feelings.. just not sorry for how she hurt her. I have no doubt Rosie feels Elizabeth is ignorant to the issues and blind to "the truth". IMO She is insensitive, aggressive, and lacks humility and until she sees this... she will continue to hurt others.

Too bad she does it. My grandmother use to say... The deaf can't teach others to listen. She simply meant that those that do not know how to listen to others can't teach others how to listen to them. She may be right on the money on some things - the way she comes across shuts people down to where they feel unsafe to speak thier thoughts outloud when she's around. Makes others feel worthless.
Maybe she will one day see how she comes across.

I agree with this post. She can be very close-minded and stuck in the mindset that her way/belief is the only way. It's really unfortunate because I think she does have some valuable input to offer the world.

I saw what happened that day and agree that Rosie made a mistake in what she said. Notwithstanding, she is the best thing that ever happened to The View. Losing her would be a mistake. I think Barbara knows that. Before Rosie, The View very seldom got any recognition, except when Star left. Now, it's on the news weekly at least. Before Rosie, the ratings were very low. Now they are way up. At least, that's what Barbara says. Now days the big stars come on the show. That has not always been the case.
I remember The View pre-Rosie. Elisabeth can throw a tantrum too. Elisabeth used to get so worked up over issues that she was ranting and raving like a mad person. I used to post about it here all the time. One day it got so bad that Barbara had to call her down and tell her on the air to lower her voice and get a grip. Elisabeth was almost shaking she was so upset. After the break, they came back to Elisabeth sitting next to Barbara on the couch with her head on Barbara's shoulder, looking like a scolded child. I thought at that time that Elisabeth had some mental health and/or hormone issues. She is always talking about trying to get pregnant and I think she takes hormones for it.
I believe that Rosie ALSO has those same issues. She admitts she takes medication and that she is having menopause symptoms. Of couse, that is no excuse to call your co-host ignorant. Rosie needs to be Warned that she must get her act together and then be dealt with according to how her contract allows if she fails to do so.
I see all of the good points Rosie makes and the millions of dollars in charity she raises and gives all the time. I think she still has much to offer the show. If Elisabeth calmed herself down from last season, Rosie should be required to do so as well.
I may disagree with Elisabeth on some issues, but, I still want to hear differing opinions. I don't really want the show to be all about the same opinions. What would that accomplish?
I'm not sure Elisabeth would find another position close to what she has if she left that program. I also think The View could replace Elisabeth's spot on The View with another conservative very easily. I don't see how they could easily replace Rosie. Many of the guest host comment on the great energy in the room and how they are so impressed with the audience. It' so different from the old days of The View, IMO. Of course, the give aways don't hurt I'm sure.
I hope they get their act together and continue to provide some great Hot Topics. It's still my favorite talk show.

A big difference I see between Rosie and Elizabeth is their age. There is quite an age difference between the two and have completely different lifestyles in which they were raised, had to deal with and etc.
Also there is a huge difference between them is how well known they are. Rosie does give millions, does rub elbows with bigger stars than Elizabeth and is in more demand than Elizabeth. Giving away millions and being a major voice to ANY advocacy groups can give a celbrity a lot of people that will believe/ hang on to every word they say and let them know that they are just so smart, wise, beautiful, so wonderful. This sometimes gives some cebrities a false sense of "knowing the truth" on pet issues... etc.. (Tom Cruise is a huge example). It's also the reason that if Rosie leaves there, she can get more work if she wanted.... Elizabeth... it would be hard for her. So she just may take the abusive side of Rosie the best she can.
There are some issues I think Rosie has more sense about and there are other issues I know she's hasn't stopped to find out the facts, she takes someone elses 'info' and makes a judgement. We all so that sometimes but when you got the public ear like Rosie does.... there is a level or responsibility that needs to be exercised in making sure your information is correct and by shutting out anything that doesn't fit her truth on an issue - isn't very responsible. Didn't Iyanla say something like - if you have to change who you are and what you say/ feel when you are around someone .. that's abuse?
I think Rosie and Elizabeth could compliment each other... but there has to be an equal respect and at this time... Rosie doesn't respect Elizabeth and visa versa.
