TOPIC: Rhonda on Oprah Today?
#73064
Rhonda on Oprah Today? 1 Year, 4 Months ago Karma: 0
I just saw on Oprah's website that Rhonda will be on her show today - apparently capping off a show about people who have made it through really hard times.

The show hasn't aired here yet so I'm not sure how it goes.

Just thought some people might want to know about it.

I didn't see anything mentioned on Rhonda's blog.. which is surprising..

I did check out the Oprah website..

Looks like she was a blip of several..

Here is a summary of her story.. (which is 2 pages and the end of the show..)
http://www2.oprah.com/tows/slide/200703/20070301/slide_20070301_284_117.jhtml

Our ABC affiliate sometimes replays the show late at night. I will try to check out the schedule..

The show theme was 'resilient spirits'..

I wonder if this is indeed good news for SO fans.. I'm sure Oprah knows of the positive things Rhonda has done and maybe will lend some backing into some sort of SO replacement.

One can hope, right?

Maybe it would be worthwhile to engage in the message boards over there!

Most of us agreed if anyone could save SO or bring it back in another format somehow.. Oprah and her production crew could!

For those in the D.C. area.. You can catch the rerun of the show at 1:00 a.m. on channel 7!

Not sure if Oprah is syndicated on various networks but it's on ABC here in the D.C. area. Might be worth checking your own markets to see if the show is rebroadcast..

I saw the Oprah show today... Rhonda was on at the end of the show... she spoke very quickly... it was the end of the show... her spot seemed very rushed.

I'm sorry I missed it. Was it a new show or a rerun. I hope I can catch it next time around. Rhonda's story really amazes me. I would like to think that Oprah was familar with SO and thought it a shame such a great show went away. I know many people sent her email about the end of the show. I wish she would have intervened. Perhaps she was busy with her other projects such as Rachael Rhey (Ray?) or the African Girl's School.

It's been a week or so since I checked Rhonda's blog. I do think it odd that she would not mention an appearance on Oprah, even if it is small.
