Just read on my home page that Britney has "fled" this rehab too.
I don't know much about her, to be honest, but, like most people, she will have to get to the point where she herself decides she needs the help. I have heard that "interventions" often fail, but I am glad to hear that family members are concerned enough to try.

This so sad...

Rumor has it that Kevin Federline won't let her see the kids now either!

That's right, all you can do is try to support the loved one. My family had an ordeal last year with my adult brother who had to go into rehab for drug addiction. He had to be ready to accept the fact that he was helpless and couldn't get better by himself. Thank God, it really helped him.

I sometimes joke and say that the reason my brother went into rehab was that my parents worried him to death. They called him all the time, threatened to report him to his employers, actually went to the police and asked them to arrest him, (the police said they couldn't just on someones word they were doing drugs) They made his life so miserable that I think he had to do something. However, it was his choice to go.

I know Britney may have had a difficult time for a 25 year old, but, when I was in my 20's, I was working 3 jobs to put myself through college, studying late nights to stay on the dean's list and qualify for every scholarship I could, clipping coupons to save every penny, and participating in fund raisers for charity. I was very stressed much of the time, worrying how I would be able to afford to buy my text books or pay my tuition. Much of the time we lived on noodles and canned chili (3 cans for $.99). LOL I guess I just have a difficult time feeling sorry for people who are supposed to have it hard, when they have every opportunity available to them in the world and seem as if they don't appreciate it. Of course, maybe the girl suffers from mental illness. Sometimes people with that avoid treatment even when they really need it.

Nobody is saying you have to feel sorry for her. I just don't think I need to judge her since I have never come to close to living the same type of life she has. I don't think she has been handed anything either. She has worked very hard for what she has.

I am a very private person I can't even imagine being followed like she has for so many years. I would have had a nervous break down long before the one she may be having now.

I think it is so sad.........not that she had a hard life, but that she was a child star and NOT protected by parents, etc. But thrown into fame and a "teen" lifestyle so early. I do wish there was some kind of protection for kid stars........but the parents do take this on and very little anyone else can do.

I do wonder if she also has some post-partum issues? Now, I am certainly not defending any of her choices and actions, but I do think she honestly doesn't know where to turn and needs some help. But being over 21, nobody can force the issue. Very sad with many of the young ones who grow up in Hollyweird!!
